Fr. John Hollowell’s truly amazing monologue needs to be spread far and wide. It’s a wake up call, and one of the most encouraging statements I’ve heard in a long time. It’s a Divine battle cry!
The talk heats up after minute 2 where he notes in this talk addressed to Planned Parenthood Pres. Cecile Richards that “we have not doubt” that in the future Planned Parenthood will be seen as the “slave traders, the Nazis, the Communists and all those groups that seek to oppress people.”
He then warns PP and President Obama: “You better knock us out now. You and the President better knock us out right now, because Cecile, I can promise you - Here comes the Catholic Church ... you’ve awakened a sleeping giant.”
“Priests and bishops that have in the past been content to remain quiet are no longer so. ... The Truth is being rained down everywhere. ... Here comes the Catholic Church.”
He notes that PP since its founding “have proclaimed yourselves sworn enemies of the Catholic Church,” but “we’re in the ring now, the gloves are off.” He acknowledges that Cecile has every worldly advantage in her corner - the President of the United States, the media. But Goliath too had every worldly advantage.
The powerful talk ends quoting Tolkein: “The board is set, the pieces are now in motion, at last we come to it - the great battle of our age.”

I might be wrong, but I believe most of those abuse cases were decades ago. And by overall a very small percent. There are hundreds of abuse cases in out publics schools every year! We just hear about the women going for young guys because the rest is so common place.
There is that remnant. They are well taught of Suffering and martyrdom.
When it appears the Church is fallen, the blood of martyrs is but seed for the faith, just as the Hebrews flourished with infants under Pharoh.
God only knows who will be among them.... and who will not.

What was also awful is that this FLUKE is gong to Georgetown on a “public interest scholarship”. So we're paying for her crap "education" and she expects us to pay for her sex life too? She's going to come out of this with a law degree and agitate for communist policy. Just great.

Well, my question is will the tens of millions who comprise the Catholic church actually vote based on this issue... Do Catholic rank-and-filers actually care about this?
I have told my wife in the last 2 weeks we Evangelicals better join this battle with Catholics. We better join it 100 percent to fight these totalitarian secularists. It is a chance for us to really live and display the Christian life.

Some, more than most realize. Catholic unity is often more a goal than reality but under attack we tend to come together. And it will only take a shift of maybe a fifth of the congregants to make a difference.
This is not about birth control. This is an open assault on the right to religious freedom given by God and stated in the U.S. Constitution.
it is my opinion, based on my understanding of the way the world works, that if this priest persists with this message and tries to organize people ... that even right there in Indiana, it would have a minimal effect on the politics.
The opposition in IND will counter-attack to neutralize him. One saintly person can change a town. But an entire state? I don’t expect the whole country to repent based on one YouTube video. Ask Francis of Assisi how it worked for him.

I know enough Irish, Italian and central/south American Catholics in the US to know that they’re not about to vote GOP on this issue. The *best* that can be expected is that they refuse to vote for Obama’s re-election.... but then vote straight Democrat down-ticket.
I’ll believe it when the Church PUBLICLY excommunicates heretics like Fluke, Biden, Pelosi, Kerry, and all the other high-profile “Catholics”.
Until then, all this is just so much bluster.

well, I am more interested in studying the delegates that were selected at the caucus, rather than the straw poll. I am planning ahead to ‘16.
Yes, This is against Christianity. Obama is trying to divide us but we are the Body of Christ here on earth. His initial agenda probably includes taking over all the Catholic hospitals and nursing homes, schools etc. We know who wins in the end.

narses, I haven’t seen it. New England is gospel-parched. I am going exploring, looking for new parishes. I frequent about 15 parishes in my area. And travel to NH ... went to Maine ... barely a peep. The priests are DEMS. I need to expand my world to new parishes and drop some of the 15 from my list. I am praying for a solution, cause in the areas where we need to beat the DEMS (the Northeast), the pro-family movement is weakest.

I was out-of-town yesterday visiting a parish, and the Monsignor told us to stand down, that it is not a big deal and “everything will be worked out wonderfully.” We’ve been reduced to a situation where the only pastoral leadership in Conn is coming from Linda McMahon. Get me out of here.

I just clicked off the sign up and didn’t have any problems aside from my usual difficulty in copy/paste on this older pc. I do have Norton 360 on a 7 year old windows system using run of the mill browser. Is your internet provider on Obama’s and Planned Parenthood’s side of this issue? I expect we will see all sorts of hijinks over the coming months.
Practicing Catholics care and vote and many C & E Catholics are working weekends or have other issues, not that I am excusing them - just recognizing their situations are often difficult on many levels...I think many will turn out to vote on this. Even the democrats I know have had it with Obama. I can’t imagine them voting for him unless they fear they would lose their job by doing so. Most fear they would lose their job if he stays in office.
If you identitfy with Christ’s message in any way, if you identitfy with God’s Word and the Prophets of the Old Testament this moment asks are you a Man of God or are you not, are you a Woman of God or are you not?
