Arabic-speaking Christians, including Eastern Catholics such as Maronites and Melkites, use the word “Allah” for the God of the Bible.

In fact, they used the word Allah before the Muslims.

I’ll let the One true God be the judge, but ...

Matthew 7:21-23
New King James Version (NKJV)

“I Never Knew You”

21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.

22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’

23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

“Allah” is probably etymologically related to “Eloi”, Aramaic for “God”.

However, the similarity stops there.

Mohammed was a pirate, a murderer, a torturer, a rapist, a pedophile, a polygamist, a slave trader, a Jew hater, a bloody warrior, and an unspeakably cruel tyrant.

Contrast that to Jesus Christ, God in the Flesh to Catholics and Bible-believing Christians.

Not the same God at all.

A couple of things come to mind.

1. Islam is a satanic cult based on what is written in the Quran.

2. Muslims do not accept Jesus and therefore have a date in hell for all eternity.

Absolutely not! Mulims believe that the koran was written by allah and dictated in whole, word for word by angels to mo the pervert. That same book denies the death on the Cross by Christ and His resurrection, the Holy Trinity and the divinity of Jesus Christ!

I think many ordinary muslims believe that God and allah are the same and actually are [raying to God, but our God did NOT institute that blood soaked religion or author that piece of literary madness they worship.

The great catholic historian Hillaire Belloc considered Islam to be a heresy in his book the Great Heresies. Muslims do not believe in the Trinity, therefore Allah is not God. Simple as that.

Not a chance. We worship the God who gave Moses the Ten Commandments and who gave us, through Jesus Christ to the Apostles, the Two Great Commandments. The Muslims have no analogous obligation but in fact are allowed to make misrepresentations (taqiyah) to non-believers and are authorized to slaughter those who refuse to convert to Islam.

Islam is founded on and advances through blood and the sword. Catholicism is founded on sacrificial love. We believe in a triune God while the Muslims believe the doctrine of the Trinity is an example of "shirk". There is no reconciling the two religions, or should I say the Christian religion and the hate cult founded by the bloodthirsty warrior Mohammed.

The essence of Christianity is not found in the name by which our God is called. The essence of Christianity is the virgin birth, perfect life, innocent death and triumphant resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Son of God - the only sacrifice worthy to pay the just penalty for our sins. There is no other Gospel.

Arab pagans were worshiping Kaba well before Mohammed came along. The Kaba is now the most revered sanctuary of Islam. It is located in Mecca.

The early Arab pagans worshiped quite a few pagan gods including one called Allah. Mohammed got rid of them all and made Allah the primary god. Then he created the Koran and went on a rampage in the name of Allah to convert or kill.

Catholics and Muslims do not worship the same God. However, they worship the same God as Protestants. All Bible-believing denominations would be better served to refer to themselves as Christians.

Jesus said, I am praying not only for these disciples but also for all who will ever believe in me because of their testimony. My prayer for all of them is that they will be one, just as you and I are one, Father - that just as you are in me and I am in you, so they will be in us, and the world will believe you sent me. John 18:20-21

Actually, Aloho is the Syriac-Aramaic form for Allah. Though RC, I practice my faith in a Maronite (Eastern) Catholic Church. Some of our prayers are in Syriac-Aramaic and the readings are in both English and Arabic. Hence, we hear both forms throughout the divine liturgy.

Islam is literally a form of Satanism.

So I don’t see how there could be any question of the two faiths worshiping the same God.

My take:

Since Muhammad’s visions / communications that led to the Koran were NOT accepted by the Catholics as miracles, then the whole premise of the Muslim faith is not accepted into Catholic faith.

Since we do not have a St. Muhammad’s day - Islam is not part of Catholic Faith.

You can bet that Muhammad’s visions were extensively analyzed by the Church and well documented. I think these important documents are under restricted access. However, I know the conclusion, because if they were accepted miracles, we would have St Muhammad.

We don’t.

I always thought it was common knowledge that Israelites, or Jews, were descendants of Isaac while Muslims were the descendants of Ishmael. Both were sons of Abraham. So on the surface it appears that both religions were founded under the same God Almighty.

In reality, to grant the radical Muslims credibility because of their heritage would be the same as saying Nancy Pelosi is an American Patriot.

When subjected to the weakness and machinations of Man, the Truth was twisted into something evil.

Allah is a female goddess (aka Hubal; the Moon) that has three sister pagan gods that were part of 360 Arabian gods before they were done away with by Muhammed (piss be upon him).

If you want to understand Islam, read “Paradise Lost”.

No other book so clearly elucidates Satan’s hatred for God and the extents to which he will go to gain revenge on God for casting him out of heaven.

Islam is easy to understand if you can grasp one concpe: It wasn’t the angel Gabriel who appeared to Mohammed; it was Satan disguised as Gabriel. Once you accept that, everything about Islam makes sense.

One of the readings at yesterday’s Mass was how G-d stayed Abraham’s hand after He had commanded him to sacrifice his only son Isaac. At the homily the celebrant described Abraham as the “father of three great religions, Islam, Judaism, and Christianity.”

I wanted to either scream, or confront the pastor after Mass. My opening salvo was to have been, “Father, don’t you know the Koran falsifies the story of Abraham by substituting Ishmael for Isaac as his true son!!?”

Well... it appears the priest was only taking his cue from Vatican II, with its ambiguities about Mohammedans.

Robert Spencer makes a compelling, scholarly case against the we-all-worship-the-same-G-d nonsense. But I didn’t need this article, I’ve known for decades the muzzies worship something other than the G-d of Creation. The G-d I worship doesn’t command me to murder in His name. My G-d teaches us that all of us are equal in His sight, male and female created He us, no second-class citizens in His world.

Please to note my tagline. Nuke Mecca Now!

"Muslims do not believe in the Trinity, therefore Allah is not God. Simple as that."

You may be quite right in you conclusion (!) (!)...

... and yet it cannot be "simple as that." If it were "simple as that," we could also say:

"Jews do not believe in the Trinity, therefore YHWH is not God. Simple as that."

------OR----

"Christians believe in the Trinity, therefore they do not worship the God of the Torah (Old Testament) (Hebrew Scriptures)."

Keep in mind that neither Jews not Muslims are Trinitarians.

We are centuries away, and separated by chasms of cultural assumptions, from the world in which it was even possible to think of one’s faith as having enemies and needing to be defended. Catholics of the modern age have long assumed that that world was gone forever, and there is some reason to believe that it is indeed.

This statement could not be more dangerous, not only to Catholicism, but to Christianity and Christians as well.

Christianity is beset constantly by enemies, both corporeal and spiritual, and will be until the matter is settled once and for all, upon the Day of Judgement.

The sort of complacency this statement would evoke might feel warm and fuzzy, but it is far from the shredding reality of those adversarial to The Almighty, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit--and they are Legion.

Yes - I am aware that Jews are not Trinitarians either, and as soon as I posted I realized that someone would point this out and rightly so!! However their (the Jewish people) scenario is entirely different. Of course YHWH is the true God of the trinity, even though Jews don’t acknowledge the trinity, that doesn’t make it not so.

Jesus was Jewish. YHWH is His Father, and furthermore YHWH specifically announced to all that Jesus is His son at the time of Jesus’ baptism. Since the God the Father of the Trinity is exactly the same as YHWH (they are the same Being) then there is no problem.

What does John 3:16 have to do with what you posted?

The creeds define what Christians believe, including John 3:16.

The bottom line is Jesus is coming soon. There are worldviews who want to eliminate Christians and Jews, and we as Christians (Catholic & Protestants) need to stick together to be light to the world.

Right now the world sees us a separate entities, different faiths, but we worship one God, one Savior, one Holy Spirit.

"I’m a Catholic who has NO USE for the Vatican or the Pope."

I rarely post on these threads, but because you claim to be a Catholic I must address what you have posted. You are free to believe whatever you choose to believe, but by what you have expressed you are certainly not in Communion with the Catholic Church and are therefore some kind of hyphenated Catholic at best.

The Synoptic Gospels give an account of a conversation Jesus had with His Apostles in which he revealed His chosen form of Church governance. Remember that God has always chosen a single man to guide His Church and guided and protected that person through public and private Revelation. This was true of Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Joseph, Moses, Solomon, David and the many judges, kings and prophets that followed.

In this revelation Jesus specifically discussed the three possible forms Democratic form, an Oligarchical form and a Theocratic form before revealing His choice.

In this dialog Jesus asks His Disciples; "Who do the people say that I am?" (Matt 16:16). This was the Democratic option. He got answers varying from Elijah, to John the Baptist, to "One of the Prophets", but no clear, unambiguous or truthful answer. He then asked His Apostles; "Who do you say that I am?". This was the oligarchical form. None responded.

Then Peter stepped forward and without consulting the others said; "You are the Christ, the son of the living God.". In response to this Jesus revealed the basis and governance of His Church when He said:

“Blessed are you, Simon Barjona, because flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind on earth shall have been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall have been loosed in heaven.” (Matt 16:17-19)

The use of the word they is ambiguous. Could refer to Catholics or Muslims. I was assuming you meant Muslims.
