Priest Tells Congress She'd Break Law to Help Minor Cross State Line to get an Abortion

Were Congress to outlaw the transporting of a minor without her parents’ permission across state lines to get an abortion, an abortion- and gay-rights activist testifying on Capitol Hill Thursday she would break the law to continue to help girls end their pregnancies.

Appearing as a Democratic Party witness at a hearing of the House Judiciary subcommittee on the Constitution, Dr. Katherine Hancock Ragsdale, president and dean of the Episcopal Divinity School in Cambridge, Mass. recalled the time she took a 15-year-old girl she had never met before to get an abortion.

“Although New Hampshire was closer to that girl’s home than Boston, as it happened, I did not take her across state lines,” Ragsdale said. “Nor did I, to my knowledge, break any laws.

“But if either of those things had been necessary in order to help her, I would have done them,” she continued. “And if helping young women like her should be made illegal I will, nonetheless, continue to do it.”

Ragsdale cited her vows as an Episcopal priest as the reason why she would “have no choice” but to break the law.

Ragsdale is well known for her activism for homosexual and abortion rights.

At a Jan. 24, 2010 event organized by the Jane Fund, a Massachusetts-based group that raises funds for abortions, Ragsdale delivered a speech in which she said she was “angry and fed up” at people who had spoken out again her sexuality – Ragsdale is a lesbian – and her radical stance on abortion.

Oh, Mother “Abortion Is A Blessing”. That one. That one is a piece of work.

She should have been immediately placed in handcuffs and led away.

What kind of church is it that not only allows a person like this to function as clergy, but puts her in charge of training other clergy? What a perverse time we live in.

I went to the website for the Episcopal Divinity School, and it will come as no surprise to you, that Jesus Christ’s name was not included on ANY of the web pages. Does that answer your question of what kind of church would allow this?

Seriously, I would bet that an pro-abortion, open lesbian, priest, is leading more people toward satan, rather than Jesus.

“Open Lesbian, Pro-Abortion, Priest, what freaking Bible is she reading?”

Obviously none. She is not a believer in any way, obviously, and never was. She simply infiltrated and corroded this place in order to wreck the Episcopal church. Alinsky/Obama 101: Find an enemy (Christianity), freeze it and annihilate it.

I would have thought that the school’s site would have at least gone through the motions of mentioning him once but considering what the Episcopal Church has become, I guess I’m not surprised.

Well, Ms. not-Reverend Ragsdale, will you also be responsible when and if that young girl you procured an abortion for without her parents knowledge or permission develops complications from that abortion - which STILL happens more often than acknowledged? Will you pay her hospital bills when her uterus is punctured and she nearly bleeds to death? How about when she develops a serious infection afterward and must have treatment? Should her parents NOW have to step forward and shoulder the cost of something they did not approve? Will you be there when the reality of what she has done finally hits her and she grows to hate herself so much she seeks to drown the feeling in drugs, alcohol, more sex, an "atonement" baby, or suicide? Or how about ten years down the line when she finally wants a baby and she finds out her illegal abortion has made her sterile? Will you still be there for her or will you have long forgotten about her because what you REALLY care about more than THAT young girl's psychological, emotional and physical health is your political agenda?

You say you speak as a woman of God? Your god is a demon called Baal or Molech. Read all about him in the Old Testament of your Bible. You still have a Bible, right?

I wonder by what sick, evil convoluted reasoning she excuses herself from reporting the statutory rape of a minor, but feels entirely justified to assist in murdering the innocent infant?

But we must not question the moral judgements of a homosexual priest(ess), lest we be called intolerant or homophobic by his/her/its congregation and their supporters!

Congress has not yet asked me to testify.
I wonder what their reaction would be if I claimed the intent to break the law, and execute both the rapist and the false priestess, to help the minor and the baby?

As Rush says, Feminism is her religion and abortion is their (not-so-) holy sacrament.
Would you deny her the free practice of her religion? /sarc

This feels like the right time to propose a “compromise” on the abortion issue. How about allowing liberals to kill their offspring, but only their offspring, by any means and at any time from conception to the, ah, child’s fortieth birthday? This should satisfy their bloodlust....

Not only is she openly Lesbian and “married” to her partner (according to her bio), she promotes abortion and sterilization - and is head OF THE EPISCOPAL DIVINITY SCHOOL!

The Episcopal Church should shut its doors immediately.

“What a perverse time we live in.”

You Bet! What the heck is Congress doing inviting an angry old lesbian to testify as an expert witness the subject of enabling abortions on teenage girls without parental consent.?

Good question. Are they planning to have a human smuggling "coyote" testify to say he'll keep bringing juvenile illegals into America regardless of the law, because it's a "rights" issue? How about Woody Harrelson testifying that he will continue to smoke and grow marijuana against the law because he has a right to and so do teenagers? Why does Congress need ANYONE to testify to breaking laws unless it is to force them to negate the laws? Then you have a states rights issue that the Supreme Court will be forced to address.

What's next, making rape legal? People still rape other people so let's legalize it? Heck why not make bank robbing legal? Why not letting homeless people live free in bank-owned foreclosed houses? Wait... they ARE doing that now. It used to be called trespassing or squatting. Now it's legal?
