Thanks for posting. I remember singing in the choir as a teen. The youth choir would sing on sunday night services. Then I remember in college the church I went to had a college choir and we would practice on thursday nights and it was a nice group. As we would have said then we’re not a choir we’re a fellowship. Sadly that is missing nowadays and community groups just really dont make up for it.

You might find an even deeper appreciation of your faith, if you are not actively serving as a member of the church choir.

I agree with everything except the handbell choirs.
If I were to end up going to hell, I would have to listen to handbell choirs playing “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen”.
I hate handbell choirs.
I love singing in our Parish choir!! We’re up in the Choir Loft, though, so the congregation doesn’t have to look at us, and boy am I glad! I’d be so self-conscious!;o)
I agree with much of what he has to say. Choirs have been a very sharp tool for thousand of years.
