I’m surprised and appalled to learn that the Protestants haven’t been mobilized already. I didn’t realize that just the Catholics were fighting on this front.
Obama is uniting two enormous groups of Christians. Nothing and nobody else could have done that. Good job, bro.

I welcome anyone and everyone into this battle, as we realize it is far more than one Catholic doctrine. It is the entire right to religious freedom and the first amendment to the constitution.
On both the religious freedom issue and Barack Hussein’s “ruling” that “all that we have is his,” it’s time and past time to give him a resounding “No!” Both issues are — as yet — “pick-pick-pick” distractions, but freedom of religion is in Amendment ONE; that says a lot; and if he were successful in confiscating anything for his “national defense,” he would soon turn toward “Hmm, confiscation, national defense... Amendment TWO; hmm....”

The trashing of the establishment clause by the administration is the biggest constitutional crisis since the imprisonment of Japaneese Americans by FDR. That too, was given a pass by the media.
In 1942 under the cover of war, habeas corpus rights were abridged...today, the first amendment is being trashed...with no special pleading, such as war time, being used as an excuse.
This administration is simply ignoring two hundred years of precedent law...and the msm thinks that’s just fine...because radical women and Obama want a kultur kampf on the Christian churches.
This is the biggest constitutional story since WWII.

I don’t mean to demean the religious aspect, but as an employer, I don’t want to be told I must provide contraceptive and abortifacient coverage, because I already object to having to provide psychiatric care in our company insurance.
Once they find they are paying for it, my employees don’t want psychiatric care coverage. Three of our fourteen employees are female, so covering contraceptives isn’t a big draw, and again, they won’t want to pay for it.
This is a freedom issue, period. Not just a freedom of religion issue. We should have the freedom to choose, as a company, what coverages we will provide, and what coverages we won’t provide, and the market will sort things out.

The issue of religious freedom, raised by all four Republican candidates but identified most strongly with Rick Santorum, finds an interested audience as the contest reaches Illinois.
Last year in Illinois, Catholic Charities and the Evangelical Child and Family Agency were forced to pull out of the foster care business when they refused to license couples in civil unions. The state’s six Roman Catholic bishops also have protested a federal mandate requiring Catholic hospitals and universities to cover contraceptives for their employees.
Some believe Santorum’s religious rhetoric could lure socially conservative voters who feel persecuted for their religious beliefs and who argue that the nation’s founding principle of religious liberty is under attack by President Barack Obama’s administration. Religion is seen as a lightning-rod issue, similar to the proposed bans on same-sex marriage that drew social conservatives to the polls in 2004 and helped George W. Bush win re-election.
“The language that we hear about the Obama administration waging war against religion is both energizing and polarizing,” said Ralph Keen, chair of Catholic studies at the University of Illinois at Chicago. “The person who declares that there is an Obama-led war against religion is going to be recognized as the leader of a cause that mobilizes. It’s going to mobilize the religious population.”
Yet the religious calculations are not simple....

You might as well. The Catholic heirarchy is demeaning the religious aspect by saying the demand for "free" contraceptives/sterilization/abortion is legitimate, as long as they don't participate. That is, it's not really about right and wrong, just a matter of personal taste.
This is a freedom issue, period.
You are right. The best way to ensure freedom of religion (and along with it, every other freedom) is to reduce government power at every level. No government should be mandating "free" provision of contraceptives/abortions/sterilization. No government should be mandating coverage for infertility treatment, gastric bypass, "alternative" medicine, or any other thing that a special interest (usually the people selling whatever it is) wants mandated.
Individuals, employers, and insurance companies could sort this out, in a free market.

It is not the job of the church to provide cover for Roman Catholics .They voted for this mess and are just looking for an exemption for themselves .
They are not looking for a repeal of a murderous law they are just looking for a way out for themselves.
WE SHOULD HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH ANY AGENDA THAT GIVES A LOOP HOLE TO SOME BUT FORCES EVERYONE ELSE TO PAY FOR THE MURDER OF OUR CITIZENS .
THE JOB OF THE EVANGELICAL CHURCH IS TO PREACH THE GOSPEL AND TO GIVE AN ACCOUNT TO EVERY MAN WHO ASK WHAT WE BELIEVE AND WHY WE BELIEVE IT .
THE FUNDAMENTAL EVANGELICAL CHURCH (confessing church) HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ROME AND WE HAD BETTER NOT FORGET THAT OR WE WILL END UP JUST AS WATERED DOWN AND ASLEEP AS THE MAINSTREAM PROTESTANTS THAT ARE NOW EUCAMENICAL WITH HER .
WE ARE NOT UNIVERSAL WE ARE A CALLED OUT PEOPLE.

Well we are all in this fight now. It is all of us and our religious freedom at stake.
You better get the fact that we need this law repealed
we don’t need an exemption for anyone we need a flat out repeal .
You better get that and your church better get that to because if we don’t get that repeal we are going to suddenly wake up to a very different look America
The law contains and exemption for Muslims
If it is not repealed you are going to see an awful lot of stupid people converting to get something free
