Deadly serious request to Holy Souls Hermitage readers (Catholic Caucus)
Holy Souls Hermitage ^ | March 20, 2012 | Father George David Byers, S.S.L., S.T.D.

Posted on 03/21/2012 6:51:03 AM PDT by NYer

Preface to this post - The following was brought to my attention by a fellow freeper who also maintains a blog. He provides the following background information on the author.

This priest is a "hermit" who is incardinated in the Diocese of Charlotte, NC. He was Chaplain in Lourdes for a time, and is an exorcist. He was ordained in Rome. He has posted a 30-odd series on exorcism and says the Traditional Latin Mass each day. He prays for priests and bishops each day in his daily Mass.

After reading through the following text, I visited the blog of another individual who also is a sensitive. His post for today is an urgent warning originally posted 2005.

We Catholics have been following the accelerated attacks on the Catholic Church. Obama is a marxist and will stop at nothing to destroy us. I am most concerned about the Holy Father's impending trip to Cuba and Mexico. Please remember him in your prayers!

This hermit has been alerted to a rather grave situation in the Northern Hemisphere, involving at least four countries. By way of some half dozen accounts coming in disparately from around the globe, Saint Michael is active in this matter. That’s from the most balanced, prayerful people, whom I would trust with my life. So, I should like to beseech your prayers, but with a condition, that if you pray the Saint Michael prayer for this intention, you immediately say it again for yourself and for your family. Might I ask that you recite this daily? Please. It is this particular, short prayer, that was mentioned again and again and again… all of a sudden, with almost identical circumstances in every account. This has my riveted attention, so much so that a mechanic working on my pickup truck in town asked if I were O.K., or whether I had just been traumatized by something horrific. I said nothing, but “yes” is the answer. I think I would be wrong in not asking your prayers. I’m sorry if this seems sensationalistic. It’s not. Just the normal state, I suppose, of the Church Militant. It’s just that my eyes were opened to a particular situation… I feel sick…

Sancte Michael Archangele,
defende nos in proelio;
contra nequitiam et insidias diaboli esto praesidium.
Imperet illi Deus, supplices deprecamur:
tuque, Princeps militiae Caelestis,
satanam aliosque spiritus malignos,
qui ad perditionem animarum pervagantur in mundo,
divina virtute in infernum detrude. Amen.

Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle;
be our protection against the wickedness
and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray:
and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host,
by the power of God,
thrust into hell Satan and all the evil spirits
who prowl about the world
seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

I’m afraid this will be a “sticky post” for a while.

Mark Mallet's Blog Entry for Today

Persecution! …and the Moral Tsunami

As more and more people are waking up to the growing persecution of the Church, this writing addresses why, and where it’s all heading. First published December 12th, 2005.

I will take my stand to watch, and station myself on the tower, and look forth to see what he will say to me, and what I will answer concerning my complaint. And the LORD answered me: “Write the vision; make it plain upon tablets, so he may run who reads it.” (Habakkuk 2:1-2)

THE past several weeks, I have been hearing with renewed force in my heart that there is a persecution coming—a “word” the Lord seemed to convey to a priest and I while on retreat in 2005. As I prepared to write about this today, I received the following email from a reader:

I had a weird dream last night. I awoke this morning with the words “Persecution is coming.” Wondering if others are getting this as well…

That is, at least, what Archbishop Timothy Dolan of New York implied last week on the heels of gay marriage being accepted into law in New York. He wrote…

…we do worry indeed about this freedom of religion. Editorials already call for the removal of guarantees of religious liberty, with crusaders calling for people of faith to be coerced to acceptance of this redefinition. If the experience of those few other states and countries where this is already law is any indication, the churches, and believers, will soon be harassed, threatened, and hauled into court for their conviction that marriage is between one man, one woman, forever, bringing children into the world.—from Archbishop Timothy Dolan’s blog, “Some Afterthoughts”, July 7th, 2011; http://blog.archny.org/?p=1349

He is echoing Cardinal Alfonso Lopez Trujillo, former President of the Pontifical Council for the Family, who said five years ago:

“…speaking in defense of the life and the rights of the family is becoming, in some societies, a type of crime against the State, a form of disobedience to the Government…” —Vatican City, June 28, 2006

He warned that someday the Church may be brought “in front of some international Court.” His words may prove to be prophetic as the momentum toward interpreting alternative forms of marriage as a “constitutional right” is gaining enormous strength. We have the bizarre and inexplicable scenes of mayors and politicians at “gay pride” parades striding alongside nude revelers, in front of children and police (behaviors that would be criminal on any other day of the year), while in their legislative assemblies, officials are overturning the natural law, usurping an authority that the State does not and cannot have. Is it any wonder that Pope Benedict says there is now an “eclipse of reason” darkening the world?1

There seems to be nothing stopping this moral tsunami from sweeping through the world. This is the moment of the “gay wave”; they have the politicians, celebrities, corporate money, and perhaps above all, public opinion in their favor. What they don’t have is the “official” support of the Catholic Church to marry them. Furthermore, the Church continues to raise her voice that marriage between a woman and a man is not a fashion trend that changes with time, but a universal and foundational building block of a healthy society. She says so because it is the truth.

The Church… intends to continue to raise her voice in defense of mankind, even when policies of States and the majority of public opinion moves in the opposite direction. Truth, indeed, draws strength from itself and not from the amount of consent it arouses. —POPE BENEDICT XVI, Vatican, March 20, 2006

Normally, I avoid posting such sensationalism but also feel an impending sense of urgency, especially for Pope Benedict. There is no greater weapon than prayer!

Dear NYer, thank you for posting this information. My spouse and I have been so burdened and concerned about the Holy Father making these upcoming visits to Mexico and the Middle East. He is so very brave to be standing in firm solidarity with Christians in these areas (and also with all Christians around the world). He is a beacon of light in a very dark world.

Yes. The prayer to saint michael. The one that was removed at the end of our mass. I will add an extra one for the intention mentioned. Thanks.

The prayer to Saint Michael the Archangel, Guardian of the Church, is such good prayer, Holy Mother Church makes available an Indulgence.

Another prayer with an Indulgence is to Saint Joseph, Patron & Protector of the Church: “Blessed Joseph, husband of Mary, be with us this day. You protected and cherished the Virgin; loving the Child Jesus as your Son, you rescued Him from danger of death. Defend the Church, the household of God, purchased by the blood of Christ. Guardian of the holy family, be with us in our trials. May your prayers obtain for us the strength to flee from error and wrestle with the powers of corruption so that in life we may grow in holiness and in death rejoice with the crown of victory. Amen.

Another indulgence: Prayer for the Pope> “Let us pray for Pope Benedict XVI, our pope. May the Lord protect him and grant him length of days. Amen. May the lord be his shield and deliver him from all harm. Amen. May the lord give him happiness and peace all the days of his life. Amen.

The Norm#10 (The Handbook of Indulgences): “The condition requiring prayer for the pope’s intentions is completely satisfied by reciting once the Our Father and Hail Mary for his intentions; nevertheless all of the faithful have the option of reciting any other prayer suited to their own devotion and their reverence for the pope.”

Lord have Mercy. I saw a Bishop on television talking about indulgences. The Bishops said something like this, “even in our suffering for the sake of Christ, He wants to make it easy for us to get into Heaven.” We are obligated to pray for our Pope, Bishops & Priests.

The one that was removed at the end of our mass

Can there be any question that Satan was involved in doing that?

The Leonine Prayers

V: Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

R: Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

(Said 3 times)

Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope. To thee to we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To thee do we send up our sighs, mouring and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us, and after this exile, show unto us the blessed Fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.

V: Pray for us, O holy Mother of God.

R: That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

V: Let us pray.

V: O God, our refuge and our strength, look down with mercy upon the people who cry to Thee; and by the intercession of the glorious and immaculate Virgin Mary, Mother of God, of Saint Joseph her spouse, of the blessed Apostles Peter and Paul, and of all the saints, in Thy mercy and goodness hear our prayers for the conversion of sinners, and for the liberty and exaltation of the Holy Mother the Church. Through the same Christ Our Lord. Amen.

All: Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle; be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray: and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, thrust into hell satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

V: Most Sacred Heart of Jesus,

R: Have mercy on us.

(said three times)

You msy think it was removed, but we, as laity, have put it back at the end of the Mass.

We say
Three Hail Marys
One Our Father
One Glory Be
and the Prayer to St. Michael, the Archangel

These prayers said while the Eucharist is still felt in your body empower angels to come down and protect more people.

Start it in your own parish! One of our parishioners had a dream about it and wrote down her dream and gave it to our priest.

Given the continuing spate of attacks on the Catholic Church, it did not take much of a leap to recognize the probable source of those stories. Yesterday, freeper Starwise posted the following thread

Absolutely Appalling…Obama Uses Banks to Control Catholic Church.

The author comments that: "A core component of Marxism is to destroy organized religion. So, Obama’s new attack on the Catholic Church should be no surprise." You have to wonder just how far this man will go to 'pay back' the Catholic Church for not caving to his HHS program. Perhaps to arranging for an accident to the highest ranking church leader? These are very dark days.

I believe I read on another thread that all our military bases in the U.S. are going to be closed on the 23rd for “exercises.” Whatever that means. Does anyone else remember seeing this?

Special intentions at Mass on Friday!!

I  read this book. A much different story than Camping's

BTW, this book was written in 1881; you wouldn't believe how accurate it is!

The End of the Present World

Reading this book was one of the greatest graces of my life!"
— St. Thérèse of Lisieux

In the late nineteenth century, Father Charles Arminjon, a priest from the mountains of southeastern France, assembled his flock in the town cathedral to preach a series of conferences to help them turn their thoughts away from this life’s mean material affairs—and toward the next life’s glorious spiritual reward. His wise and uncompromising words deepened in them the spirit of recollection that all Christians must have: the abiding conviction that heavenly aims, not temporal enthusiasms, must guide everything we think, say, and do.

When Father Arminjon’s conferences were later published in a book, many others were able to reap the same benefit—including fourteen-year-old Thérèse Martin, then on the cusp of entering the Carmelite convent in Lisieux. Reading it, she says, “plunged my soul into a happiness not of this earth.” Young Thérèse, filled with a sense of “what God reserves for those who love him, and seeing that the eternal rewards had no proportion to the light sacrifices of life,” copied out numerous passages and memorized them, “repeating unceasingly the words of love burning in my heart.”

Now the very book that so inspired the Little Flower is available for the first time in English.

Let the pages of The End of the Present World and the Mysteries of the Future Life fill you with the same burning words of love, with the same ardent desire to know God above all created things, that St. Thérèse gained from them. Let them also enrich your understanding of certain teachings of the Faith that can often seem so mysterious, even frightening:

  • The signs that will precede the world’s end
  • The coming of the Antichrist, and how to recognize him
  • The Judgment and where it may send us: heaven, hell, and purgatory
  • Biblical end-times prophecy: how to read it and not be deceived

Jesus commands us to be ever-watchful for his return, and ever-mindful that we have no lasting city on earth. The End of the Present World and the Mysteries of the Future Life is an invaluable aid to inculcating in your spirit that heavenly orientation, without which true human happiness cannot be found—in this world or the next.

I have been praying all day about all of this. A thought has come to mind this afternoon, do you think this possible “accident” will have any correlation to the Third Secret given at Fatima? I have wondered if there could be a connection..thank you for your thoughts on this! And thank you again for posting this article!

While it is important to be concerned and vigilant, we also need to recognize that God is in control of the world and place our faith in Him. In its 2000 year history, many kings, rulers and potentates have attempted to take down the Catholic Church. All were unsuccessful. Keep the prayers going, not only for the Holy Father but also for the Church. God bless you!
