GOD will call those that HE wants. It's not something for us to gloat who have been called. But it's for us to be that living example that show others how great HE is; from the heart and eventually to the physical. The testimony of JESUS in our lives is our key to know HE is calling us. Our faith and prayers is our telephone call to HIM, and HE brings the increase to us. All is HIS.
GOD BLESS US ALL!! Worship GOD for HE gives us all things, and we give ourselves nothing!! Give all praises to who does it for us, not us who do it for ourselves!! Blessed are those that are CALLED to the marriage of the lamb!! Love to all!!
Please pray the LORD's PRAYER and please read:
I watched part of the “Passion of the Christ” last night. I can never make it through the part of where Pilate has him flogged. Not sure how authentic the movie is to what actually happened, but much of the script does seem to come straight from scripture. Anyway, the overwhelming sense I come away with when watching this movie is my own guilt about what He endured for us. I should probably make a point of watching it every Easter, because I always forget that Easter isn’t about Easter bunnies.
It was pretty accurate (except His face wasn’t whipped)....and if anything, the real thing was worse. He was scourged under Roman law, not Jewish law, so the number of lashes wasn’t limited accordingly.
We were Called out of the Dead; out of the Spiritual Deadness of Humanity. For God is in the business of resurrecting the dead and with folks like us, he has begun the process by taking away our hearts of Stone and giving us Hearts of Flesh which love Him. And regenerating the mind so instead of being in enmity with Him, can hold faith and understand the things of God.
Gloating is not in the picture when it is out of the Dead.
Reminds me of a saying when our children, squabbled over the size of the cookie they got for a snack, said 'He got more, it isn't fair'. She said, what is fair is for All of you to Get NO COOKIES.
God says He will "have Mercy on whom He will have mercy and Compassion upon whom He will have Compassion" (Romans 9:15). We do well to remember that it was out of the Dead that He did this.
Amen. I agree. Why did you copy and paste that sentence?
AMEN! LOL! I could not get passed the “ peter’s denial “ part when I saw it on DVD at a friend’s house. I kept taking that part back about 20 times.
I did not get to the part you were talking about til the next day. LOL!!
I definitely get what you mean.
Best to meditate on HIS love( which involves sacrifice, grace, mercy, and more...) everyday.
19:1 After these things, I heard as it were the voice of much people in heaven, saying: Alleluia. Salvation and glory and power is to our God.
19:2 For true and just are his judgments, who hath judged the great harlot which corrupted the earth with her fornication and hath revenged the blood of his servants, at her hands.
19:3 And again they said: Alleluia. And her smoke ascendeth for ever and ever.
19:4 And the four and twenty ancients and the four living creatures fell down and adored God that sitteth upon the throne, saying: Amen. Alleluia.
19:5 And a voice came out from the throne, saying: Give praise to our God, all ye his servants: and you that fear him, little and great.
19:6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of great thunders, saying: Alleluia: for the Lord our God, the Almighty, hath reigned.
19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice and give glory to him. For the marriage of the Lamb is come: and his wife hath prepared herself.
19:8 And it is granted to her that she should clothe herself with fine linen, glittering and white. For the fine linen are the justifications of saints.
19:9 And he said to me: Write: Blessed are they that are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith to me: These words of God are true.
19:10 And I fell down before his feet, to adore him. And he saith to me: See thou do it not. I am thy fellow servant and of thy brethren who have the testimony of Jesus. Adore God. For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
I copied the sentence and commented on it because you are correct, there is no basis for gloating and as the Scripture says no basis for Boasting either.
Amen!! That was definitely what I was thinking you were saying. But had to make sure. Thanks for your patience, clarification, and confirmation.
Many blessings from GOD to you, your family, friends, and all.
