While Catholics may disagree with Storm’s final assessment, the story is insightful, especially in terms of life after death.
Great story. Bump.
May God remind us of this fellow’s story.
I’m such a sinner myself and I only hope that I can meet Christ’s expectations.
A divine rescue by the hands of our Savior.
-—Storm rose through academia and took a job as a professor of art in Kentucky where he says that the overwhelming majority of the faculty were atheists and hedonists.-—
Which explains why modern art is worthless, and why I decided to skip art school. I went to engineering school instead, but fell into the same narcisstic trap. By the grace of God, I was able to escape the worldly lifestyle and became... an artist.
Coming soon to Amerika if the SCOTUS doesn't knock down Obamacare...
This past Monday I had the most surreal day of my life. I believe my mother, who recently passed, sent this gentleman into my life. As an adopted child, my adoptive father killed himself in 1967 and I have carried a hatred for him all my life, though I never knew the man. (I was 2 when he committed suicide). Through fate I was at my studio when I shouldn’t have been and this guy shows up who bears the same name as my adopted name. (I legally changed my last name before marriage/family). Through our conversation he revealed to me that he was killed in a private plane crash in the mountains of Tennessee, yet here he was to tell me his story of being sent back by Jesus. There are many other aspexts to my story of that day wich would take too long to relate here but at the end of the day I had a clarity that I never had before. Any shred of doubt of God, Jesus or heaven is forever gone after hearing the story and its effect on me.
It took awhile before he realized that they were the demons of Hell...
:: eventually becoming a minister in the United Church of Christ ::
Just like Jeremiah Wright....
...I like the night-life, baby! Let's go!...(Let's Go -- The Cars)
My idea of a call to heaven would be more along the lines of Stevie Ray Vaughan or Jimi Hendrix. Or even Mozart.
I suck. God truly hates me. He wants to squash me like a grape.
Beautiful example of God’s Grace every time I read it.
Enjoyed this story...thanks for posting. Many blessings.
One wonders whose God a Buddhist, Hindu, Jew, Muslim, other-than-Christian sees in these NDEs?
I have been reading this story from different websites for years. I truly believe this true. But some times some aspects are left out. Just like when you or I tell a story we might forget some things.
Number one is the power and anointing of prayers.
Why would I bring this up ?
As Paul Harvey would say Now the Rest of The Story.
When you read it completely you will realize that before he died he mocked a woman of faith. She wanted to learn about Art. She was in his class. She was verbally abused by Mr. Storm. He told her if mention anything about faith outside of Art, he would fail her. They made a agreement. But he still abused words toward her.
Well she left that class and prayed for this man with her friends for years. She was so concerned for this man's soul. She Never let up on the prayers. Seeing the results before it happened.
He went back to her to apologize as a Christian. She pointed out why what took you so long. Lol! What faith this woman!
It does not matter who as a Christian who prayers for others but this woman was a Catholic nun. A sister devoted to prayer.
Pray! Pray! Pray for All!!!
Do No Let Up on Pray!!!
What a Glorious example of Prayers offered for others.
A Humble or Contrite Heart He will Not Ignore!!
What a humble woman of faith has done.
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging."
The call to each and every person who come to know Christ is to become a living epistle full of light and salt. God did not save us so we could hide in monasteries or sit in the back row of a fellowship, He saved us to send us into a dying world we are all called to share our faith with the lost of this world. Many want to just write a check and send others out but we are the ones who are to share our faith with others.
