‘Angry Queers’: Christians are ‘scum,’ deserve ‘hammers through their windows’

Warning: This story includes vulgar language as quoted in an e-mail from an extremist homosexual rights group.

PORTLAND, OREGON, April 27, 2012, (LifeSiteNews.com) – The group that allegedly smashed up a Portland church hopes its “small act of vengeance will strike fear into the hearts of” Christian leaders who teach traditional sexual morality, according to an e-mail message the group released to the public.

A group calling itself “Angry Queers” has claimed responsibility for throwing baseball-sized rocks through nine church windows in Portland’s Mars Hill Church, including two 100-year-old stained glass panes.

Two versions of the e-mail have been sent to the media, one longer and slightly more incendiary than the other, but both apparently originating from the same group. In the longer version, the LGBT activists state they destroyed church property in the names of several local transgender people who have died, and “all other trans women” whose deaths they blame on “this cissexist, femmephobic, racist, and transmisogynistic society.”

“Churches are a major contributor to the culture that deems trans women of color to be disposable, as not worth keeping alive,” the statement read.

The “brand of Christianity” taught by Mark Driscoll, pastor of the largest Mars Hill Church in Seattle, “crusades against the ‘feminization’ of Jesus,” the e-mail stated. “We angry queers are not fans of Jesus, but we have a problem with anyone who has a problem with femmes.”

The e-mail, which is peppered with foul language, berates the Q Center, a local LGBT activist organization, for engaging in a dialogue with the Mars Hill’s leadership. “What we have to say to the Q Center is this: [snip] YOU, you don’t represent us. You are disgusting traitors who prioritize social peace and the bourgeois aspirations of rich white cis gay people over the more pressing survival needs of more marginalized queers.”

[snip] dialog with people who want us dead,” the e-mail read. “The only dialog we need with scum like Mars Hill is hammers through their windows.”

“We hope this small act of vengeance will strike some fear into the hearts of all of Mars Hill’s pastors, and warm the hearts of our friends and comrades (known or unknown). It may not get better, but we can certainly get even,” it concludes.

The local Fox affiliate, KPTV, sent a local homosexual media outlet a copy of the e-mail they received, which is missing several of the communication’s most risible phrases.

However, a reporter at competing KOIN also received a copy of the e-mail. KOIN’s coverage quotes words found only in the longer e-mail.

The longer version names several dead transgender people by first and last name, then references them by first name later. The shorter version only includes the reference to their first names, which may authenticate the longer and more inflammatory version sent to KOIN.

The homosexual media outlet that obtained the KPTV version of the e-mail stated officials at the Fox station said the shorter version is the one they received. The blogger believes “the email’s author(s) submitted a somewhat different version to different outlets.”

Neither media outlet reported the message’s invocations of violence against traditional Christians, which appeared in both versions.

The long form of the e-mail has also appeared on several left-wing websites in the area.

Even before the text of the e-mail had become public, Chuck Currie, a minister in the United Church of Christ (UCC), wrote, “I call on the Portland Police to treat this as a hate crime against all people of faith, regardless of religious tradition or belief.”

However, a commenter calling himself “Angry Queer” on a local homosexual website incited further vandalism, writing: “I hope some sexy, angry queers (like myself) smashed this [snip] up and will continue to until Mars Hill cannot exist peacefully in Portland. There is no peace for queers — we are murdered, bashed and ridiculed every [snip] day. To have some windows of a huge INSTITUTION THAT PERPETUATES AND BREEDS THE HELL WE LIVE IN EVERY DAY smashed is a small victory and a boost in morale.”

Below the video is the full text of the e-mail as it appears on several left-wing activist websites. The portions that differ from the KPTV version are in italics.

Early in the morning of April 24th a group of angry queers smashed out the windows of Mars Hill Church in Southeast Portland. Mars Hill is notoriously anti-gay and anti-woman. Mark Driscoll, Mars Hill’s head pastor, has said that women need to be subservient to their husbands and that gay people are a cancer. His personal brand of Christianity crusades against the “feminization” of Jesus - we angry queers are not fans of Jesus, but we have a problem with anyone who has a problem with femmes.

This action was taken in memory of Mark Aguhar, a fierce queer/trans femme of color and artist from Chicago who killed herself a little over a month ago. We also hold in our hearts Paige Clay, a trans woman of color who was found murdered in Chicago on April 16th; Duanna Johnson, a black trans woman who was in all likelihood murdered by the police in 2008; Agnes Torres Sulca, Deoni Jones, and all other trans women who have been murdered by this cissexist, femmephobic, racist, and transmisogynistic society.

Churches are a major contributor to the culture that deems trans women of color to be disposable, as not worth keeping alive. Children who are forced to attend Mars Hill are indoctrinated in hateful dogma that teaches them their natural desires are an abomination that will damn them to hell. Dan Savage’s “It Gets Better” campaign does nothing in the here and now for queer kids trapped in abusive home or religious settings. And it never got better for Mark, Duanna, Paige, Agnes, Deoni, or the countless other trans women (especially brown trans women) who are regularly murdered.

When Mars Hill moved to town, so-called “representatives” of the queer “community” from the Q Center met with officials from the church in order to have dialog. What we have to say to the Q Center is this: [snip] YOU, you don’t represent us. You are disgusting traitors who prioritize social peace and the bourgeois aspirations of rich white cis gay people over the more pressing survival needs of more marginalized queers. [snip] dialog with people who want us dead, the only dialog we need with scum like Mars Hill is hammers through their windows.

We smashed Mars Hill because they make our lives miserable. We hope this small act of vengeance will strike some fear into the hearts of all of Mars Hill’s pastors, and warm the hearts of our friends and comrades (known or unknown). It may not get better, but we can certainly get even.

Throwing a hammer through a church window with people inside is assault with a deadly weapon. Double tap the degenerate.

This is the very definition of terrorism. If we actually had a real A.G., we might expect some action on this case. However, since we have Holder, we can expect nothing.

[[These psychotics are claiming that hate is directed at them, yet who is promoting violence?]]

That’s the tactic of the left- Be tbhe aggressors, while at the same time pretend to be the victims- hopefully someoen with a loud enough voice i nthe GOP will expose these racist hatemonguerers- but so far- noone i nthe GOP has been willing to call these criminals out yet-

[[It went from just wanting acceptance to all out war on anyone who disagrees with the faggots. Evil spreads when good men do nothing.]]

you’re exactly right- which is basically what i said in last post- the GOP has been silent on the issue of homosexuals being violent and attackign religion- and the evil of homosexualityy has been allowed to spread and spread uncontested as a result-

They are out committing crimes and claiming to victims at the same time?

I bet the will quietly pass by any muslim mosques during their crime spree. Trashing a mosque would be some kind of hate crime to them, and this group does not believe in hate, only tolerance.

“...hammers through their windows..”

Well, except for the mess on the inside of the building, it would provide a handy spot to work from...

just sayin’...

I take it that since the “angry queers” are against hypocrisy, their next visit will be to the neighborhood mosque?

This story has largely been swept under the carpet by the LameStream Media after its first obligatory exposure, in which the crime was minimized and compartmentalized to "radicals" just acting stupidly.

Consider that if this had been a homosexual "church" the outrage would have been constant, deafening and violent toward all Christians.

Queers are people, too, they're just confused about their sexuality.

You are sadly naive. Confused people don't go on anarchist rampages making murderous threats.

If you say so. For a better understanding of from where I'm coming, check out my profile.

Context!

My comment regarding confusion was about their sexuality.

Homosexuals, queers, gays, or who ever, are people, too. If someone breaks the law, throw hammers through windows or engages in any threatening manner, they may see immediate justice.

There are very few times that this passage from Psalm 139:19-24 is appropriate. It is appropriate here — we are called to hate those who hate God, and act accordingly:

“Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men. For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take thy name in vain. Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee? I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies. Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”

Note very carefully that there's a difference between hating our personal enemies and hating those who are the declared enemies of God. Psalm 139 needs to be used very rarely, but this is one of the very, very few cases where we are called by God to respond with hatred to those who unquestionably are haters of God, His law, and His Word.

Unfortunately what happened to Mark Driscoll’s satellite church is not an isolated incident. Do some googling on First Orthodox Presbyterian Church of San Francisco, which fired its organist when it discovered he was a practicing homosexual and thereby ran afoul of anti-discrimination laws. The church's successful legal fight established the court precedent that churches can “discriminate” in their hiring practices based on their theology. However, winning the legal fight didn't stop the radical homosexual activists from repeated physical attacks on the church.

I have personal knowledge of several other incidents where churches were attacked by radical homosexuals and the incidents got swept under the rug either by police or by churches acting out of a wrong application of the biblical principle to turning the other cheek.

Very few Jewish synagogues or Muslim mosques would tolerate what happened to Mark Driscoll’s church — nor should they. We live in America where freedom of worship and private property rights are both guaranteed by the Constitution. Christianity does not teach pacifism and we need to respond to these sorts of attacks with public demands that the police prosecute those responsible, along with quieter steps to protect the church property via force of arms if necessary.

I doubt very much that this group of “Angry Queers” is more than an extreme fringe element; it would be too much to think this was an deliberate “probe” to see how Christians will respond. I'm speaking from a human perspective here — while there is probably no earthly conspiracy, we can be sure it **IS** a probe by the Devil to see how far he can push things. Failure to respond forcefully to attacks like this will invite more attacks by radical extremists, and more seriously, will cause organized liberal groups to think they can get away with other steps to silence Christian conservatives.

Christians are at war for survival in some of America's more radically liberal areas. We've always been in a spiritual war by people who want to silence our message in the public square, but it is becoming increasingly obvious we may be in a physical war as well pushed by those who not only want to silence our free speech rights but also physically attack us.

>>Shouldn’t assume all Christians are passive.

How did you get an idea like that from my post? “Open season” implies no government or law enforcement agencies will stand up to protect us from these people. I never said that we wouldn’t be manning the barricades and returning fire, if it comes to that.

Please note that this image is from the sketch comedy "Portlandia" with Fred Armisen of SNL in the front center. It is NOT a photo of the actual thugs who raided the church. It's a parody of such people.

They're probably too scared of Muhammad's real fans to pull anything like this in a mosque, but would they really embrace Islamicism?

Oh Mohammad’s fans would blow up their queer bars and hangouts if they dare tried this at a mosque. Yea they know this. What they don’t know is that Islam not only is against homos but says they should be put to death. Yet do they protest Islam? Not a chance.

And this group is completely mild looking compared to those at a real “gay” pride parade. The nudity, lewdness and loopiness at a real event makes this look like a photo taken at a squares convention. Of course, there will also be the obligatory few who look actually look somewhat decent and attractive so that they can be photoed for the lovely front page news spread about the event.

I think they CHOOSE to be that way because they THINK that's how they are built.
I think that's part of it, but why do they think they are built that way? That's where I think we need to concentrate and attack (if I may). Science is no friend to the born that way theory. In fact, science is quite hostile to the born that way theory. Those who push the born that way theory are completely ignorant of what science says.

They think they're built that way because they are TOLD that by people who tell them what they want to hear.
You're right...there is no "gay" gene. And if there were ANY group of people who have lobbied to try to PROVE the "gay" gene, it was this group. Science let them down--no "gay" gene.

I think they are like the sad sack women who hate themselves and want abortion to be legal and cheap. That is, those self-and-baby-haters will breed themselves out of existence and all left will be those men and women who WANT babies. Cosmic justice, A.K.A. The Creator speaks.

All we can do is repeat what Scripture and Apostolic Tradition tell us...and pray.
