I would not surprise me either. Even on here, how often are we told we need to ‘tolerate’ heresies, or worldly things are more important than souls? Too often.
I do take comfort that there are still some who fight for the truth at all costs, but I fear we are becoming less and less.
Many who have left cults,(finally), have great difficulty going to a solid church because cults use Christian terminology, so when they hear that vocabulary, though it’s presented rightly, it causes confusion...

Very true. That is something I deal with in my ministry on a daily basis. Teaching someone what terms really mean and what the Bible really says is often a difficult but necessary task.
New Age Spiritual groups,.... Mayan Doomsday predictors..., Mormons @ Scientologist who both seek government control,...The “Latter Rain” movement.... also is about power and doing miracles to persuade people about Jesus and establishing government.
To the.. “Seeker friendly”... it is about friendship without producing guilt and telling people about Jesus 'without giving the gospel' and cure there sin.
The “Indigenous people movement”.... makes use of the many pagan cultures gods to bridge people to Jesus; accommodating them by saying God was working among their culture and through their religion before the message of Christ arrived.
To “Christian Humanists,” it is about promoting the social gospel,... helping people by feeding them, finding them shelter and speaking of peace for us all by working together for world improvement Scientologists and a host of others...
The “Emergent movement” as a movement, is questioning the Bibles accuracy and the doctrines of historic Christianity by using the dialectic process, 'convincing people to side with the new concepts' they are introducing into the church.
The 'Enviornmentals Movement'...who ultimately worship the earth and are often found in these cultish groups.
What we are seeing today is not just a system of false Bible beliefs replacing the genuine,.. but a challenge to the Bibles basic beliefs themselves, ...replaced with other religions practices to form something new..........
What would be the fastest and most efficient way to deconstruct the church?.......... ''Remove the church from the word and substitute it with the current world philosophies and foreign religious practices'.......... Using other religious practices with Christianity compromises you,... diminishes your faith, ...your devotion and obedience to the word......(Let US Reason)
The ultimate goal and idea will be all of them will be an... "In-gathering"......which will focus on one common denominator.... These groups will merge more and more as they see their similarities...and tolerate any differences.
All of this is Counterfeit Christianity in one form or another...which because people do not know the scriptures and what they Do teach they cannot either identify a counterfeit.
A Christian is 'no longer a seeker' but 'a possessor of the truth' - when he walks 'by the word of God' and in the Spirit. .....A believer in Christ does not call himself a spiritual seeker (beginner or seasoned) they have found the truth in Jesus Christ.... But this is what these movements are about, they are restless not finding peace in Christ...
Unfortunately cults are often highly emotional or with a focus on "feeling"...which these are attached to this false verbiage that's drum booted into their minds.....so all their 'senses' generally "recall" as you're explaining the truth....so they have an inner battle between the mind and the emotions. Which interesting is often times, thru the brainwashing process, they lack critical thinking skills...so the emotions take over.
As has been said..."Emotions get in the way".
I commend you for taking on this ministry...it is a very draining and difficult road....you are surely up against "Strongholds" and why they are called that.... though people coming out of cults come to a place where they realize they've been dubbed....their defenses are up that it's not going to happen again.
This is very similar to a husband or wife who pledged their love and devotion to one another.....only to find one or the other was having a hot and heavy affair on the side right from the start...that the love and devotion professed was a sham...from the start.
The offended party questions how they could have trusted such when it was clearly there from the beginning...so guilt comes in strong and hard as well.
I personally believe fully that getting these people to Trust God's word...and 'stay with it' til they see the truth...and not what they want to see but what HE reveals to them in time.... is the most important part of their recovery....and standing by while God and they pull themsleves thru the maze.
Yes we most definately are....but Christ said there would come a time where truth could no longer be found....we are seeing the beginnings of this....

That's exactly right john, and is how he works. Abortion is a good example of that in how it came into our courts of law and made legal.
The one most defining issue surrounding abortion is "defining" the terms life and baby, or something else. Same with religious cults in peoples thinking...if it makes them happy, if they feeel better for it...then it's acceptable. Defining the use of vergaige is important.

You know I moved from New York in December 2010 to Georgia. Well, I lived in My Mom and Dads original House. The paper stuff I found in November had records and pamphlets that my Mom(Rest In Peace) kept.
Some were about when abortion first became legal. 1973. She was in the forefront of the Pro-life movement. What was stated to be allowed that these flyers and newsletters showed was like being portrayed not many would go for abortion but is available. Well the enemy is very clever. What now 55 million in America all killed and how many in the world.
I am very humbly proud of my mother. She would go to meetings for this cause. She wrote wonderful God given Footnotes on the paper. When I saw it was like talking to her from the past.

I’m only not been responding because I’ve been incredibly busy this weekend. With the sale today and changes I’ll probably be busy all week but please keep me in the loop. I’m going to try to keep up and read but won’t have much time to give thought to responses. Big day today for us for sure.
