To a degree this is a very esoteric subject that doesn't have much effect at "local" levels (using the term in the sense used in the article).

Still, think of giant oil tankers being required to TURN and not ram each other and you get an idea of how difficult this is for even folks with a lifetime of experience in doing just that.

One of the early statements, to wit: "There was "disagreement on the interpretation of historical documents from that time on the privileges of the Bishop of Rome as the Primus." led me for just a second to one of the problems the Bishop of Rome had with the Romans ~ which certainly interfered with his privileges

No doubt there are some difficulties in interpreting first century documents! "
