Iran: Discovery will collapse Christianity [Barf Alert}

Iran’s Basij Press is claiming that a version of the Gospel of Barnabas, found in 2000, will prove that Islam is the final and righteous religion and the revelation will cause the collapse worldwide of Christianity

Turkish authorities believe the text could be an authentic version of the Gospel of Barnabas, one of Jesus’ apostles and an associate of the apostle Paul.

This version of the Barnabas Gospel was written in the 5th or 6th century and it predicted the coming of the Prophet Mohammad and the religion of Islam, the Basij Press claims.

The Christian world, it says, denies the existence of such a gospel.

Turkey plans to put the Bible on public display. Though Turkish authorities believe this could be an authentic version of the Gospel of Barnabas, others believe it only goes back to the 16th century and is a fake because it would have been written centuries after Mohammad’s life.

I will believe the teachings of Forgiveness and Compassion of Christ are superceded by the teachings of sin begets you a death sentence of Mohammed when donkeys fly.

The very idea that Mohammed was a prophet of the same God Christ spoke of is laughable.

When the powers that be came for Christ, he told his followers to put down their swords, when the powers of the time came for Mohammed he told his followers go out and die to protect me.

The very idea that a lunatic who believe he was the avenging angel of God, and went out to kill anyone who did not convert or live the way he dictated is a continuation of the teachings of Christ is laughable on its face.

Jesus Christ died for your sins, Mohammed would kill you for them. That’s not a continuation of teaching, its a complete dichotomy. Islam took monotheism back to the old testament, not forward.

Oh yeah, I'll just drop my concept of a Christian, loving God who gave His life for me and forgives my sins, for a vengeful, sadistic "Allah" who orders amputation of "a hand and a foot on alternate limbs."

Yeah, right Mahmood, I'll do that ... maybe tomorrow.

Indeed. That Barnabas would be six or seven hundred years old.

There is zero evidence Mohammed existed, no contemporary accounts of any kind as to the events recorded of this cartoon character's "biography," zero - zip - nada - not until seventy years after the date of his supposed death.

Meanwhile we have more historic evidence of Jesus Christ than there is of Julius Caesar.

Islam is an Arab mass movement, a political cause with religion added as an afterthought, stolen and stitched from contemporary Christian and Judean orthodoxies.

So the Gospel of Barnabas written four hundred years after Barnabas lived is going to destroy Christianity??? Yeah, right!

Islam has been, is, and always will be nothing but a bad counterfeit job of the teachings of the Holy Scriptures. All they do is take the Scriptures, twist it 180 degrees and then declare that their version is the correct one straight from Allah and the biblical version has been corrupted by the Jews and Christians. Mo-ham-head couldn’t even come up with an original religion. He had to piggyback it onto Judaism and Christianity and then convince other deluded souls that his was the correct version.

I think this will boomerang on the mullahs and inside Iran make them seem even weaker and more desperate.

People who have already decided that Iz Lame is nothing but a totalitarian doctrine, many of whom are already turning to Christianity, aren't going to believe anything the thugs in power say. In fact, anything the leadership says is likely to lead people to believe the exact opposite is true.

They've tried being subtle, putting carrots on sticks, brutality, and random violence, but they're still losing ground and seeing control of the country slip through their fingers. All they've managed to accomplish is to turn the majority of Iranians against Iz Lame and Arabs.

Look at the definition of faith. I do not need a book to affirm my faith. If I truly need something in writing then that does not qualify as faith. Besides, if one book destroys a religion, then how could the Muslims been continuing for so long. By their own logic they would have not believed in their own religion because our Bible says they follow the wrong prophet.
