Reading this article and reflecting on the past few years of Pope Benedict's papacy, the thought that comes to mind is one of St. John Bosco's dreams.

In the dream, St. John Bosco recounts:

Nothing could be truer as, by the power of the Holy Spirit, the course of the Church has been steadfast in these turbulent days. Nothing, says Pope Benedict XVI, will deter the truth.

The Church… intends to continue to raise her voice in defense of mankind, even when policies of States and the majority of public opinion moves in the opposite direction. I’m praying for a reversal of the Vatican II Heresy.

Don’t forget that in his very first address, the Pope asked us to pray that he would have courage and not run when he saw the wolves coming. I guess he knw what was out there.
