WE just might have to WORK in Heaven. Huh?

Not only will we be worshiping God in heaven, but we will be serving Him as well in whatever capacity He has in mind. It’s very possible some of these things be hobbies you enjoy here on earth and where your talents and interest lie in. You very well might be doing that in heaven as a service to the Lord.

Funny how we don’t think on these things as it’s hard to imagine. We are so caught up in the here and now, that thinking on future things like this is hard to picture. How often do we contemplate Heaven? Do you quickly picture clouds and sunny days? I think it’s going to be far more than us just taking in Heaven’s breathtaking beauty and worshiping God the entire time. He designed Heaven as a reward and life with Him. It’s going to be amazing, so I started thinking about the moments in life that bring me the most peace and happiness.

For myself there is nothing better then being outdoors reading a book. Feeling the fresh breeze and warm sun on my face. I get caught up in the sounds of nature and often prefer their quiet sounds to anything men can create in a studio. God has had a lot of time to prepare our home and he pays such close attention to details. Just look at His creation. Incredible.

God leaves so much untold about Heaven because He wants to reward us when we are called home. It’s very unlikely

If the creators of South Park are right, then all of the Mormons in heaven will be playing volleyball.

Volleyball is a fun hobby one has to work at to be proficient in.

WE just might have to WORK in Heaven.

Those that excerpt blogs won't have to work.

Their ad revenue will earn them a high place.

IN HELL.

I don’t mind if it’s not “perfect” because it sure beats the alternative.

This is one of those “duh” moments.

The greatest joy is work that is UNWASTED and PERFECT.

I think that is what the Lord has in store for us.

For example, as a Christian prep school teacher, I love seeing the light bulbs suddenly switch on...

I can only imagine how sweet it would be for every kid to completely get every lesson every time.

Adam was working from his first day, prior to sin. We will likely work into eternity.

But considering that work today is a lot more enjoyable than the salt mines of the past, it’s reasonable to expect that work in eternity will only be that much more enjoyable than work is today.

"And your works shall follow you".

I assume that includes at least maintenance.

My old pastor told us all that when I was in confirmation classes.

It will be work, but not toil.

Growing up like I did, I liked the sound of that.

Work in heaven will not be “work” as we know it on earth...for Heaven will be Heaven and NOT earth. It won’t be boring. If anyone is interested in truly discovering what Heaven will be like, I encourage you to buy Randy Alcorn’s book “Heaven” and/or go to his website:

but we will be serving Him as well in whatever capacity He has in mind

Lets not flatter ourselves here. we will be serving in the capacity in which we served here while on earth. not WHATEVER he has in mind. it will be according to our faithfulness, our character, our obedience to his laws, our love toward others while we were alive.

Rev 22:12 "Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done."

bible commentary: I bring it with me to give to every man: either life or death; heaven or hell; the crown or the curse. He will be prepared immediately to execute the sentence.

Only a fraction of those who think they’re going to Heaven will ever see it. Even those who are, eventually, will have to get real familiar with purgatory first.

Are you both so narrow visioned as to not think the God will have something for you to do that you will enjoy? Do you not think that God knows you well enough to find something new for you before you get bored?

I imagine a heaven were God calls all his children together to revel something new and wonderful about Him or His creation every single day.

There will be P-51’s, but possibly that is all there will be. If you can live with that, welcome to Heaven!
