Dear God, Thank You for this day which You have made. We will rejoice with praise and thanksgiving and be glad in it. Thank You for supplying all of our needs acccording to Your riches by Christ Jesus. Thank You for Your unconditional Love, Your tender Mercies, Your abundant Grace; And Thank You for keeping Your Promises to those who love You. Bless our troops, Father! Keep them steadfast in these times of war as they hold to You,...our sure Foundation... For there is no Rock like You, our God. Comfort and console their families, Father. In times of trouble may they remember JESUS... For there is power in His name!! Bring them Your Peace! And as we Honor our Heroes, we Worship You also, Let us never forget and give thanks! Speak to the hearts of all Americans, Father, and mold this country so that Your Will be done. Hear our prayer, Father. And let us recall that You know the end of the matter! That our faith in Christ Crucified brings the Victory!! Thank You for Your Everlasting Love!! In His Precious Name, Amen

Join Me in Prayer and Praise For Our American Heroes!

Prayers lifted for the friends and families of those who recently lost their loved ones.
Prayers that the American people become aware of President's Obama Rules of Engagement putting our servicemen in danger.
Prayers for Steve Hogan, that his message be carried far and wide and that in so doing the death of his son, Hunter, serves his country in ways that only God can bless.
Prayers for the mothers, fathers, children, spouses of those still serving: that the know peace and receive our appreciation for their sacrifice. and lastly

Prayers for US, that our Republic will survive the attack it is under.... the physical, mental, spiritual and emotional attacks. That we will continue to be blessed and appreciative of that blessing

Who’s Behind It?

At a cultural show in Bandung, Indonesia, we enjoyed a wonderful orchestra performance. Before the finale, the 200 people in the audience were each handed an angklung, a musical instrument made of bamboo. We were taught how to shake it in rhythm with the conductor’s timing. Soon we thought we were performing like an orchestra; we felt so proud of how well we were doing! Then it dawned on me that we were not the ones who were good; it was the conductor who deserved the credit.

Similarly, when everything is going well in our lives, it’s easy to feel proud. We’re tempted to think that we are good and that it is by our abilities that we’ve achieved success. During such moments, we tend to forget that behind it all is our good God who prompts, prevents, provides, and protects.

David remembered that truth: “Then King David went in and sat before the Lord; and he said: ‘Who am I, O Lord God? And what is my house, that You have brought me this far?’” (1 Chron. 17:16). David’s heart swelled up in appreciation of God’s goodness.

The next time we are tempted to take credit for the blessings we enjoy, let’s pause and remember that it is the Lord who brings blessing.

No strength of our own, nor goodness we claim;
Our trust is all thrown on Jesus’ name:
In this our strong tower for safety we hide;
The Lord is our power, “The Lord will provide.” —Newton
