Pray for our American Heroes and our Nation

For whoso findeth me findeth life,
and shall obtain favour of the Lord
(Proverbs 8:35 )
KEYWORDS: heroes; nation; pray
Help us to call this to mind and therefore always have hope: because of Your great love, we are not consumed, for Your compassions never fail. They are new toward us, Your children in this Nation, and new toward all of our brave American Heroes every morning; great is Your faithfulness. We will say to ourselves, "The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for Him. We will be glad and rejoice in Your love, O God, for You saw our affliction and knew the anguish of our soul. You have not handed us over to the enemy but have set our feet in spacious places. Hallelujah! You, eternal God, are our refuge, and underneath are Your everlasting arms. You will drive out our enemy before us, saying, "Destroy him!"
Help us, Lord God, to know beyond a shadow of a doubt that in all things You work for the good of those who love You, those who have been called according to Your purpose. Please help us to see the condition in that promise. You are not obligated to work all things together for good for those who neither love You nor are called according to Your purpose. You obligate Yourself to this awesome promise when we offer You our aching heart and commit ourselves and our suffering to Your good purposes. If we do, You will do more with our lives than we could ever conceive. In Jesus name, Amen.

PRAYERS GOING UP FOR OUR AMERICAN HEROES AND FOR OUR BELOVED NATION!
GEN. GEORGE WASHINGTON AND THE MARQUIS DE LAFAYETTE AT VALLEY FORGE
"Let Tyrants Shake Their Iron Rod"
Mixed District Choir, Fairfax, Virginia
In the coldest and darkest days of the American Revolution, General George Washington raised his prayers for the survival of his beleaguered Army and of the new Nation. The Lord answered those prayers, upheld his Army through a punishing nadir to everlasting glory and bestowed His manifold benefits upon the new Nation.
In like manner, let our prayers now rise for our heroes in the American military who seek to secure the benefits of Freedom on behalf of a people hungry for them. Father, look on our prayers for them with favor, guide their steps in righteousness and keep them in the shelter of Your Healing Wings. Bless and uphold them in the performance of their Mission. Through Jesus Christ, Your Son, with the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever, Amen.

Morman Tabernacle Choir
Heavenly Father, Lord of the Nations, unto Your Divine Mercy we commend the souls of these brave men and women who have fallen in the service of our Beloved Nation and in defense of the Freedoms we hold dear. We pray that You gather them in Your loving embrace, that You cause Your countenance to shine upon them, and that You vouchsafe their souls to dwell eternally in Your Divine Presence. Through Jesus Christ Your Son, with the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever, Amen.
