“‘No longer will the people of Israel have malicious neighbors who are painful briers and sharp thorns. Then they will know that I am the Sovereign LORD.(Ezekiel 28:24)

The Bible makes no reference to a national entity by the name of Jordan, because the modern nation called Jordan is a relatively recent creation. The British and French victors of the first World War divided the middle east as the spoils of the Ottoman empire, which had sided with the Germans.

By writing lines on maps, British and French diplomats created the ‘nations’ of Jordan, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and others. The victors of World War 1 also set up Kings and Kingdoms.

Arabia was once ruled by the royal Hashemite family, who claim direct descent to Mohammed and Fatimah. But the Hashemites were driven out of Arabia by the now ruling Saud family. The British allotted the rule over the newly created nation,”Jordan” to the Hashemites who rule over it to this day.

Biblically that land is known as Ammon, Moab and Edom, and is of great significance in Bible prophecy. The Ammonites and Moabites were the children born of incest by Lot and his daughters, after they fled Sodom and Gomorrah. Edom is the land given by God to Esau and his seed. Traditionally these three nations, though related to Israel, have been her enemies.

Ammon is a reference to the northern third of the modern state of Jordan, bordered on the west by the Jordan river It is currently antagonistic to Israel, but in a “cold peace”. King Abdullah, of the Hashemite family that rules Jordan, has the distinction in the Arab world of being the direct descendant of Mohammed.

Concerning the Ammonites, thus saith the LORD; Hath Israel no sons? hath he no heir? why then doth their king inherit Gad, and his people dwell in his cities?(Jeremiah 49:1)

The God of Israel wonders out loud in irony, Aren’t there enough children being born to Israel, that Ammonites inhabit the cities of Gad? Gad is the eastern bank of the Jordan River that was in Biblical times the territory of Reuben, Gad and the half tribe of Manasseh.

But the King James obscures an important aspect of this statement by God, for According to the New American Standard, God asks “Why does Malcolm possess Gad?” In other words how is it that “Jordanians” possess the God-given territory of the children of Israel ,in the name of a false god, (Malcolm, Moloch) ?

Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will cause an alarm of war to be heard in Rabbah of the Ammonites; and it shall be a desolate heap, and her daughters shall be burned with fire: then shall Israel be heir unto them that were his heirs, saith the LORD. (Jeremiah 49:2)

Ammon, Moab and Edom all feature in the doomed Psalm 83 war, referred to as “the children of Lot, and “Edom”.

War sirens will be heard in Rabbah, which is known now as Ammon , Jordan. The city is slated for destruction. Like Damascus, it shall be turned into a ‘desolate heap’. There will no longer be a “west bank” controversy, for as a result of God’s judgement on Ammon, Israel shall retake the territory of the east bank of the Jordan.

Howl, O Heshbon, for Ai is spoiled: cry, ye daughters of Rabbah, gird you with sackcloth; lament, and run to and fro by the hedges; for their king shall go into captivity, and his priests and his princes together.(Jeremiah 49:3)

Once again, the New American Standard Bible is helpful, for it tells us that “Malcolm shall go into captivity, with his priests and princes”. Malcolm, or Moloch, is just another demonic god worshipped by the pagan Arabs, and currently masquerades as Allah.

Because Ammon rejoiced over Israel’s many calamities, and partook of the everlasting hatred of Israel, according to Ezekiel also, Ammon is to suffer destruction,

For this is what the Sovereign LORD says: Because you have clapped your hands and stamped your feet, rejoicing with all the malice of your heart against the land of Israel, therefore I will stretch out my hand against you and give you as plunder to the nations. I will wipe you out from among the nations and exterminate you from the countries. I will destroy you, and you will know that I am the LORD.’(Ezekiel 25:6-7)

But the destruction will not be total for Ammon, for He promises them in Ezekiel, “You will know that I am the LORD”, and in Jeremiah, the refugees of northern Jordan will be brought back to the land!

Behold, I will bring a fear upon thee, saith the Lord GOD of hosts, from all those that be about thee; and ye shall be driven out every man right forth; and none shall gather up him that wandereth. And afterward I will bring again the captivity of the children of Ammon, saith the LORD.(Jeremiah 49:5-6)

Moab, or central Jordan is slated for destruction at the coming of Jesus. Isaiah 25 has Israel hiding, and longing for Jesus. At the breaking of the Day of His return, Israel celebrates the Saviour, and his salvation,

And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the LORD; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.(Isaiah 25:9)

But the next verses have Jesus’s foot on Moab’s neck as he is made to swim in a dunghill…

For in this mountain shall the hand of the LORD rest, and Moab shall be trodden down under him, even as straw is trodden down for the dunghill. And he shall spread forth his hands in the midst of them, as he that swimmeth spreadeth forth his hands to swim: and he shall bring down their pride together with the spoils of their hands. And the fortress of the high fort of thy walls shall he bring down, lay low, and bring to the ground, even to the dust.(Isaiah 25:10-12)

Both Isaiah and Jeremiah mourn Moab and lament that her pride was her undoing. The destruction coming upon her is frightening.

Fear, and the pit, and the snare, shall be upon thee, O inhabitant of Moab, saith the LORD. He that fleeth from the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that getteth up out of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for I will bring upon it, even upon Moab, the year of their visitation, saith the LORD.(Jeremiah 47:43-44)

But the destruction of North and central Jordan will not be complete, for we are told that like Ammon, a remnant of Moab will repent and be saved.

Yet will I bring again the captivity of Moab in the latter days, saith the LORD. Thus far is the judgment of Moab.(Jeremiah 47:48)

Southern Jordan, Edom, or Mt Sier, is slated for perhaps the grimmest judgment, it shall be rendered in places, utterly uninhabitable. Obadiah and Ezekiel 35 both direct their focus on Edom, as representative of the perpetual hatred against Israel they have nourished.

Son of man, set thy face against mount Seir, and prophesy against it,

And say unto it, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O mount Seir, I am against thee, and I will stretch out mine hand against thee, and I will make thee most desolate.

I will lay thy cities waste, and thou shalt be desolate, and thou shalt know that I am the LORD.

Because thou hast had a perpetual hatred, and hast shed the blood of the children of Israel by the force of the sword in the time of their calamity, in the time that their iniquity had an end:

Therefore, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will prepare thee unto blood, and blood shall pursue thee: sith thou hast not hated blood, even blood shall pursue thee.

,i>Thus will I make mount Seir most desolate, and cut off from it him that passeth out and him that returneth.(Ezekiel 35:1-7)

Obadiah tells us that God remembered the help Edom gave to oppressors of Israel over the years, barring their escapes, rejoicing in their calamities, possessing their vacated lands, and in particular the temple mount.!

For thy violence against thy brother Jacob shame shall cover thee, and thou shalt be cut off for ever.In the day that thou stoodest on the other side, in the day that the strangers carried away captive his forces, and foreigners entered into his gates, and cast lots upon Jerusalem, even thou wast as one of them. But thou shouldest not have looked on the day of thy brother in the day that he became a stranger; neither shouldest thou have rejoiced over the children of Judah in the day of their destruction; neither shouldest thou have spoken proudly in the day of distress.

Pray for the Muslim people, that they will indeed come to know the Lord, for these prophecies are given that all people might see what is happening and repent of their sins and call upon the name of the true and living God, while there is still time. God is not willing for any to perish, but for all to come to repentance.”Whosoever will call upon the name of the Lord (Jesus who died for their sins), will be saved…”

AKA, The Prince of Persia

The books of Daniel and Yohanan's Revelation are virtual bookends, what begins in Daniel is further elucidated in Revelation.

For example the beast that rises out of the abyss in Revelation was thrown into it in Daniel.

He is, The Prince of Persia.

Turn to, Daniel chapter 4, king Nebuchadnezzar's dream.

Read it, then read it again and then once more for good measure.

Note: The contents of this dream were not only directed at Nebuchadnezzar but also at the Prince of Persia.

There are several key phrases (from the dream) you should take notice of as they resurface later on in the book of Daniel.

Daniel 4
13 “I saw in the visions of my head while on my bed, and there was a watcher, a holy one, coming down from heaven. 14 He cried aloud and said thus:

‘Chop down the tree and cut off its branches, Strip off its leaves and scatter its fruit. Let the beasts get out from under it, And the birds from its branches. Nevertheless leave the stump and roots in the earth, Bound with a band of iron and bronze, In the tender grass of the field. Let it be wet with the dew of heaven, And let him graze with the beasts On the grass of the earth. Let his heart be changed from that of a man, Let him be given the heart of a beast, And let seven times pass over him.

17 ‘This decision is by the decree of the watchers, And the sentence by the word of the holy ones, In order that the living may know That the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, Gives it to whomever He will, And sets over it the lowest of men.’

***

The tree, Nebuchadnezzar and the Prince of Persia. 4: I saw in the visions of my head upon my bed, and, behold, a watcher and an holy one came down from heaven;

A Watcher, the Archangel Michael

Daniel 10:13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.

Holy One, Yeshua

Daniel 10:5 Then I lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a certain man clothed in linen, whose loins were girded with fine gold of Uphaz: 10:6 His body also was like the beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet like in colour to polished brass, and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude.

Compare to:

Revelation 1:13 And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.

1:14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; 1:15 And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.

And of course!

Matthew 1:24 Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God.

***

Back to the Prince of Persia

Leave the stump of his roots in the earth, even with a band of iron and bronze

Roots in the ground = Prince of Persia into the abyss.

Daniel 10:20 Then said he, Knowest thou wherefore I come unto thee? and now will I return to fight with the prince of Persia: and when I am gone forth, lo, the prince of Greece shall come.

The sacking of the Prince of Persia allowed the Prince of Greece to fill the void.

Fast forward to Revelation 11:7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.

And: Revelation 17:8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.

The beast was, in Daniel's day, is not, Yohanan's day, and shall ascend... has ascended.

With a band of iron and bronze.

See: Daniel 7
19 Then I would know the truth of the fourth beast, which was diverse from all the others, exceeding dreadful, whose teeth were of iron, and his nails of bronze; which devoured, brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with his feet; 7:20 And of the ten horns that were in his head, and of the other which came up, and before whom three fell; even of that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spake very great things, whose look was more stout than his fellows.

The ‘band of iron and bronze’ from chapter 4 turns into iron teeth and bronze nails.

He’s back!

10 horns/kings, See: Psalm 83.

Three fell, Saddam Hussein, Hosni Mubarak and Muammar Gaddafi, and note: These three were uprooted as they had nearly a 100 years of combined rule in the Islamic world, no small feat.

Daniel 7:8 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots:

Now for a little more information...

Daniel 11:37 He will show no regard for the gods of his fathers (Chemosh, Milcom) or for the one desired by women (Ashtoreth), nor will he regard any god, but will exalt himself above them all. 38 Instead of them, he will honor a god of fortresses (Allah); a god unknown to his fathers he will honor with gold and silver, with precious stones and costly gifts. 39 He will attack the mightiest fortresses with the help of a foreign god and will greatly honor those who acknowledge him. He will make them rulers over many people and will distribute the land at a price.

Compare to:

II Kings 23:13 And the high places that were before Jerusalem, which were on the right hand of the mount of corruption, which Solomon the king of Israel had builded for Ashtoreth the abomination of the Zidonians, and for Chemosh the abomination of the Moabites, and for Milcom the abomination of the children of Ammon, did the king defile.

***

Very simply, it boils down to a family feud.

Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Judah on down to David and to Yeshua.

Abram, Ishmael on down to Muhammad and on to...

Later...

It's a family feud!

Here's a good section, it's history and the future.

2 Samuel 12
26 Now Joab fought against Rabbah of the people of Ammon, and took the royal city. 27 And Joab sent messengers to David, and said, “I have fought against Rabbah, and I have taken the city’s water supply. 28 Now therefore, gather the rest of the people together and encamp against the city and take it, lest I take the city and it be called after my name.” 29 So David gathered all the people together and went to Rabbah, fought against it, and took it. 30 Then he took their king’s crown from his head. Its weight was a talent of gold, with precious stones. And it was set on David’s head. Also he brought out the spoil of the city in great abundance. 31 And he brought out the people who were in it, and put them to work with saws and iron picks and iron axes, and made them cross over to the brick works. So he did to all the cities of the people of Ammon. Then David and all the people returned to Jerusalem.
