I’m not going to damn the nursing home director just yet. She got a complaint and said they could not pray aloud. Implicit in this is that they could pray in the common room and watch the show quietly. Perhaps she could have found another room with a TV for them to use and perhaps the person who complained is an old crank who should have been ignored, but I’m not going to assign bad motives to the director unless I see more.

Usually the nursing homes have more than one room to meet. We used to do a bible study for some of the nursing home residents and we were assigned the room where they would have mass on Sundays and preachers for others.
