Point out the errors of the Creed. Using the Bible. C’mon, prove your assertion because your claim is false.

The only defense some people have for mormonism is to follow the examples of early leaders and attack Christianity.

Then they expect to be recognized as "Christians".

Very true. However, I CAN prove that the Creed is biblical (opposite of his claim).

Exactly. They want to be considered Christians, while their entire religion is based upon attacking and demeaning Christ and Christianity.

SMH.

You and Elsie can’t give an yes or a no, ANY reply to those verses I posted that show “Faith Alone” is a big fat lie.

So?

You've never said that John 6:28-29 was mistranslated; either!

Jesus has more for you than His written revelation and your personal interpretation of it.

Don't you see that this is EXACTLY the same thing that MORMONism claims??

I did answer your first, I said God’s written word is inerrant.

Does this mean that John 6:28-29 means EXACTLY what it says?

The last three have NOTHING to do with salvation (we are still talking about NEEDING works, along with Faith, to be SAVED; aren’t we?)

Point out the errors of the Creed. Using the Bible.

THIS 'creed'???

Here is MORMONism's own creed:

Articles of Faith

The Articles of Faith outline 13 basic points of belief of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The Prophet Joseph Smith first wrote them in a letter to John Wentworth, a newspaper editor,
in response to Mr. Wentworth's request to know what members of the Church believed.
They were subsequently published in Church periodicals.
They are now regarded as scripture and included in the Pearl of Great Price.

THE ARTICLES OF FAITH
OF THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS
History of the Church, Vol. 4, pp. 535—541

  1. We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost.
  2. We believe that men will be punished for their own sins, and not for Adam's transgression.
  3. We believe that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.
  4. We believe that the first principles and ordinances of the Gospel are: first, Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; second, Repentance; third, Baptism by immersion for the remission of sins; fourth, Laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost.
  5. We believe that a man must be called of God, by prophecy, and by the laying on of hands by those who are in authority, to preach the Gospel and administer in the ordinances thereof.
  6. We believe in the same organization that existed in the Primitive Church, namely, apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, evangelists, and so forth.
  7. We believe in the gift of tongues, prophecy, revelation, visions, healing, interpretation of tongues, and so forth.
  8. We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God.
  9. We believe all that God has revealed, all that He does now reveal, and we believe that He will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of God.
  10. We believe in the literal gathering of Israel and in the restoration of the Ten Tribes; that Zion (the New Jerusalem) will be built upon the American continent; that Christ will reign personally upon the earth; and, that the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisiacal glory.
  11. We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may.
  12. We believe in being subject to kings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law.
  13. We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul—We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.

Joseph Smith

Do you not wish that we would all believe the same? God does.
“Here’s how I look at it - do you (since you are Catholic) believe in”...

~ ~ ~
+ the inerrancy of the Bible? yes - A question for you, how did an errant Church according to a certain group compile the Bible, God’s inerrant written Word?

+ the virgin birth and deity of Jesus Christ as the Second Person of the Trinity? yes - Our Lord, our God and Savior is 2nd Person of the Trinity

+ Jesus Christ’s substitutionary atonement? can’t reply - I am not familiar with the term, explain please.

+ the literal, bodily resurrection from the dead of Jesus Christ? yes - body and soul.

+ the literal, bodily, imminent return of Jesus Christ to planet Earth? no - this is heresy, Our Lord’s “soon” His next coming is spiritual, Jesus isn’t returning in His physical person until the Final Judgment.

“These are things that I believe in. Do you and I believe in the same things (at least on these points)? Is there something MORE important than these, for you?”

~ ~ ~

YES, there is, important, I want to know and believe ALL of Christ’s revelation. I look to the God given authority of the Church who has revealed it. I want the greatest help to get to Heaven, Our Lord has told us, it’s not reading Scripture, it is the most Holy Eucharist. Why I wish and pray you to become Roman Catholic, so does Our Lord with all His Heart.

John 6:55
He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath everlasting life: and I will raise him up in the last day.

I love your humor and you’re never at a loss for words
but your reply to why you won’t answer to those Gospel
verses refuting “Sola Fide” is one single word “so”...3 years old say that Elsie. Proof again, you don’t have a rebuttal.

What in the world are you referring to concerning John 6:28-29? Explain.

Romans 2:13
For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.

James 2:24
Do you see that by works a man is justified; and NOT by faith only?

Colossians 1:10
That you may walk worthy of God, in all things pleasing; being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God:

1 Corinthians 3:13
Every man’s work shall be manifest; for the day of the Lord shall declare it, because it shall be revealed in fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work, of what sort it is.

1 Peter 1:17
And if you invoke as Father him who, without respect of persons, judgeth according to every one’s work: converse in fear during the time of your sojourning here.

“The last three have NOTHING to do with salvation (we are still talking about NEEDING works, along with Faith, to be SAVED; aren’t we?)”

~ ~ ~

What? “Faith Alone” heresy concerns our Salvation.

I just now saw your reply. My question was direct and simple, to refresh your memory...

How is “Faith Alone” confirmed, proved by these verses?

Your belief and profession earlier of Matin Luther’s “Faith Alone” doesn’t fit the “works” required which are our life choices, our lives lived in those last three. And what of the first two Gospel verses above?

Pride, is it? I don’t think it’s ignorance...you can’t touch them so stubbornly stay with Luther’s lie. Come on
sister, you recognized the lie of Mormonism.

Another question to misdirect, to avoid showing how those five Gospel verses prove your profession and belief in Martin Luther’s “Sola Fide.”

Martin Luther made up “Sola Fide”, his other heresies came from his mind too, not God.

Misdirect?

I think the WORDS in MY verses were said BEFORE the words in yours; so let's look at them CHRONOLOGICALLY; ok?

What MUST we do; to do the WORK God requires?

“Does this mean that John 6:28-29 means EXACTLY what it says?”

~ ~ ~

I posted a current message to Father Doucette from Our Lord saying all of Mormonism is a lie. You replied positively with humor cause you know it’s true and I am still objecting to your other comment in the same post, youur stating “Sola Fide” is true. I can’t get an answer about these Gospel verses below. The line our brothers and sisters use...where is that in Scripture? I posted it.

Right now...

Another misdirect, your question about John 6:28-29 cause these five verses PROVE “Sola Fide” is false. I’ll reply to your question about John 6:28-29 after you post the verses, ONE at a time if you like, show how they prove Luther’s “Sola Fide.”

Romans 2:13
For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.

James 2:24

1. I've already 'replied' about the last three.
2. I was the one who claimed your 5 verses 'proved' anything.
3. For whatever reason you have; you (your church?) appears to discount the very words of JESUS; in favor of LATER words of NT writers.
4. I will 'discuss' nothing more about the first two until you address Jesus' words.

(Keep scolding if you wish, but it does fall on deaf ears.)

Still waiting on Teppe to provide a source for his claims ping.

I’m serious Teppe, you want to make the accusation and use it to bolster your Mormon cult, you better pony up with some legitimate sources.
