We pray today for our American heroes, according to Your Word. We pray Psalm 25 over them and say along with Your Word, “ To You, O LORD, we lift up our souls. O our God, we trust in You; Let us not be ashamed; Let not our enemies triumph over us. Indeed, let no one who waits on You be ashamed; Let those be ashamed who deal treacherously without cause.
Show us and each member of our military Your ways, O LORD; Teach us Your paths. Lead us in Your truth and teach us, For You are the God of our salvation; On You we wait all the day.
Remember, O LORD, Your tender mercies and Your lovingkindnesses, For they are from of old. Do not remember our transgressions because we are cleansed by the precious blood of Your Son; According to Your mercy remember us, For Your goodness’ sake, O LORD.
Good and upright is the LORD; Therefore He teaches sinners in the way. The humble He guides in justice, And the humble He teaches His way. All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth, To such as keep His covenant and His testimonies. For Your name’s sake, O LORD, You have pardoned our iniquities. They were great.
Let it be said of us and of each military man and woman, these are people who fear the Lord. Then we can say that You shall He teach in the way He chooses. We ourselves shall dwell in prosperity, and our descendants shall inherit the earth.
We acknowledge that The secret of the LORD is with those who fear Him, And He will show them His covenant. Our eyes are ever toward the LORD, For He shall pluck our feet out of the net.
As we look to the state of our Nation right now, we pray: Turn Yourself to us, and have mercy on us, For we feel desolate and afflicted. As we look about us with our natural eyes, The troubles of our heart have enlarged; However, we trust You to bring us out of our distresses! Look on our affliction and my pain. By the blood of Jesus shed to forgive all who will receive it’s sacrifice, we ask You to forgive all our sins. Consider our enemies, for they are many; And they hate us with cruel hatred. By Jesus’ instruction, we pray for them. Let them see Your goodness and the greatness of His salvation so that they can become new creatures in You.
Keep our souls, and deliver us; Let us not be ashamed, for we put our trust in You. Let integrity and uprightness preserve us, For we wait for You.
We pray in the name of our Savior, Jesus. Amen.

Just wanted to let you know that I still lurk and pray throughout the day and night, but especially wanted to say thank you. My son stepped on US soil on Wednesday. Please remember to pray for those who have those hidden wounds, visible wounds, and the families of those who gave all. Thanks so much!
You have brought tears of joy to me, and I know there will be the same response from my other prayer partners. We shouldn’t need any encouragement except from the Word and the Spirit to keep on “keeping on”, but...your comment today was a welcome refreshment.
