Dear Father in Heaven, We rejoice in Your Goodness. How very great is it towards us! We bless the Holy Name of the Our LORD Jesus Christ! We cry out to You, LORD with hearts full of joy and thanksgiving for the many blessings You bestow upon Your children. Thank You, for another day, dear Father that we can gather together on Free Republic to lift our Military and our Country before You in prayer.

Dear Blessed Creator, we ask with the most utmost reverence for the United States of America and her citizens, to please wake us up to the evil that is taking over our land! We thank You LORD for protecting our Nation every single day from terrorist’s attacks, and for helping our brave Military to do their jobs to keep this Nation safe. We give You all the Praise and the Glory due Your Holy Name!

May the citizens of this Nation be ever grateful to You, and to the Military, and to all those that do the near impossible job of keeping American safe everyday. We, ask Gracious King and LORD, that You would protect and keep our Military safe as they patrol foreign lands,and do battle in dark and desperate places around the globe. Precious LORD Jesus, kind and compassionate Shepherd, we ask Your mercy and protection be with every Soldier, Sailor, Airman, Marine, Coast Guardman, Border Patrol Agent, The FBI, DEA, ICE Officers, all of America’s Government Agency Officer’s. Please guard them and their families. We ask trusting in Your holy word; “ And this is the confidence we have in Him, that if we ask any thing according to His will, He heareth us.” ( I John 5:14)

We Praise You for Your Word, that states that “Your Great Mercies endure forever.”(Psalm 103:1) We praise You and thank you for all Your many blessings this day. May we agree that the precious Blood of Jesus Christ will protect our brothers and sisters fighting for our freedoms! May Our Father in Heaven have mercy on America!

In the coldest and darkest days of the American Revolution, General George Washington raised his prayers for the survival of his beleaguered Army and of the new Nation. The Lord answered those prayers, upheld his Army through a punishing nadir to everlasting glory and bestowed His manifold benefits upon the new Nation.

In like manner, let our prayers now rise lie a fountain for our Heroes in the American Armed Forces who seek to secure the benefits of Freedom on behalf of a people hungry for them. Father, look on our prayers for them with favor, guide their steps in righteousness and keep them in the shelter of Your Healing Wings. Bless and uphold them in the performance of their Mission. Through Jesus Christ, Your Son, with the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever, Amen.

He was 22 years old, and looked me in the eye and said ‘It’s the journey, not the destination - you know that I’ve sworn to die for this country’ ( I know that he looks to heaven. ) He’s in Afghanistan now.
