He has no business there. Sure he does! "I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners" Mark 2:17

He has every business there - his business is to save souls. If he can lead just one away from evil then he will have triumphed. I’m not catholic but would never suggest he should not wade into the snake pit to save a soul.

(For evil to triumph it is only necessary for good men to do nothing.)

“Why sit down with folks who have no problem crushing the skulls of newborns?”
Jesus went to the sinners.
Who else are you going to send in to these reprobates? Someone with one heck of a galvanized backbone is needed to open their eyes and convert the wicked. His prayer will release graces that will affect many, some immediately, some later.

He is supposed to be against abortion. Why sit down with folks who have no problem crushing the skulls of newborns? It is his DUTY to pray for those who oppose him.

Not even if he performs an exorcism and calls the demons out of the DNC convention?
Wouldn’t that be a scene?
I can just see Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden writhing on the floor trying to avoid the exorcism. LOL! (But really not funny at all.)

Of course Notre Dame gave him an honorary degree and Georgetown covered up the crucifix. They all need prayers.

A genuine vicar of Christ wants most to be where the sinners are.The Cardinal will certainly have his wish in Charlotte. It’s an excellent opportunity for him to explain the meaning of such phrases as “thou shalt not”....
