Litany for Liberty

This prayer may be prayed in a group setting led by a leader of prayer, who begins the litany with the introduction and the announcement of each invocation, or if it is prayed individually, the individual prays the entire prayer.

INTRODUCTION

Christ the Lord has called us out of darkness into his marvelous light. Let us turn to him in humble but fervent petition, seeking the grace to root out from our hearts all trace of darkness, and all that holds us back from walking in the full freedom of the children of God.

As Christ is our great model for that inner freedom, which enables us to do the right, let us turn to him with confidence that we, too, may follow him to the fullness of spiritual freedom.

I have been uniting my rosaries for the intention of the
election. Thank you for this thread, oh the benefit of a novena plus a sacrifice made during the novena is even
better.

The power and grace of the rosary~! Pray the rosary, you do not have to be Catholic. Start with one decade and work up to the five decades if you like. Pray the rosary when you walk, a suggestion. Every day, take the time for the rosary, very important, it is Mary’s request.

It takes me usually...17 minutes to pray one mystery (5 decades).

Once a month, our parish gets together outside and pray that litany, a rosary and sing patriotic songs.

Hey Salvation...I just saw this after responding to Mad Dawg this morning. I have had Lepanto on my mind for the past several days...and believe that prayer for this election will be as important as it was at Lepanto.

My “rule”:
Mass daily, or if not Mass, Adoration, or if not Adoration, Spiritual Communion(when I'm too poor for gasoline.)
No alcohol, except Sundays and Solemnities.
10 Memorares daily.

I will set aside the price of a beer daily and give the money to the local pregnancy center.

May God grant me the grace to keep this Novena.
