You mean the pre-trib rapture, right? The post-trib one, which is coincident with the return of Jesus, is pretty well-characterized biblically.

Partially correct and thanks for the post. The Church has definitively ruled against the pre-trib rapture. It has, certainly since and even before St. Augustine, been amillennial.
