A voice says, Cry out. And I said, What shall I cry?
All men are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field. The grass withers and the flowers fall, because the breath of the Lord blows on them. Surely the people are grass. The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God stands forever. (Isaiah 40:6-8)
TOPICS: Religion & Culture
KEYWORDS: america; military; pray
Dear Father, we come to You and make our prayers with hope.
Lord, we pray for the men and women in our military, that You would sow Your seed in their hearts, and cause it to grow.
Father, we pray that Your Gospel would be proclaimed, and Your kingdom grown, in every nation on earth. Send out workers into Your harvest field.
LORD, as the prophet cried out, so it is: All men are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field. The grass withers and the flowers fall; all the wealth and power and fame of this world fade away. Surely the people are grass. The breath of the LORD blows on the mightiest, and they are gone. But the word of our God stands forever, the purposes of His heart through all generations. You are unfailing and changeless; Your life and Your glory and Your goodness last forever, undimmed by all the ages that pass beneath Your hand. O eternal Lord, who is before and after all things, we worship You in the holy Name of Jesus Christ our Advocate, Amen.

PRAYERS GOING UP FOR OUR AMERICAN HEROES AND FOR OUR BELOVED NATION!
GEN. GEORGE WASHINGTON THE PRAYER AT VALLEY FORGE "Let Tyrants Shake Their Iron Rod" William Billings Mixed District Choir, Fairfax, Virginia (Click)
In the coldest and darkest days of the American Revolution, General George Washington raised his prayers for the survival of his beleaguered Army and of the new Nation. The Lord answered those prayers, upheld his Army through a punishing nadir to everlasting glory and bestowed His manifold benefits upon the new Nation.
In like manner, let our prayers now rise lie a fountain for our Heroes in the American Armed Forces who seek to secure the benefits of Freedom on behalf of a people hungry for them. Father, look on our prayers for them with favor, guide their steps in righteousness and keep them in the shelter of Your Healing Wings. Bless and uphold them in the performance of their Mission. Through Jesus Christ, Your Son, with the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever, Amen.

Heavenly Father, Lord of the Nations, unto Your Divine Mercy we commend the souls of these brave men and women who have fallen in the service of our Beloved Nation and in defense of the Freedoms we hold dear. We pray that You gather them in Your loving embrace, that You cause Your countenance to shine upon them, and that You vouchsafe their souls to dwell eternally in Your Divine Presence. Through Jesus Christ Your Son, with the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever, Amen.
