WND ^ | Oct 2012 | Joe Kovacs

A well-known Bible-code researcher has bad news for Barack Obama, as he claims hidden texts in the Holy Bible indicate Mitt Romney will be America’s next president.

Moshe Aharon Shak, an orthodox Jew and author of “Bible Codes Breakthrough,” has produced a series of videos on YouTube with his modern analysis of Scripture.

For those not familiar with Bible codes, they are said to be secret messages embedded in the Torah, the first five books of the Old Testament.

From one of the videos it mentioned reaction against Obama as "oh my bowels'....Yesterday Axelrod said 'Obama's feeling it (campaign) from his inner loins'. Caught my attention today...

hey all I'm not superstitious but its interesting stuff. Having fun with it. Do what you wish with it...and dont worry--I can handle ANY negative comments without 'revenge' eheheheh..

Misuse of the codes!

The codes purpose is simply to provide a DNA-like lock on the true scriptures. The Lord condemns sooth-sayers.

I was reading some tea leaves and my crystal ball shouted that Romney would last 3 whole terms.

:p

“I just don’t understand why FR has become so nasty”

I think it’s a cross of DU folks posting and folks on the extreme right.

Both are very similar in tone just opposite sides of the spectrum. The weird part though is that they both agree to hate everything.

>> “Why does it also work for Moby Dick and War and Peace?” <<

.
It doesn’t!

The examples from those texts were fraudulent. They made changes in the spelling of key words to shift the sequences. This was proven a long time ago. Same held true for the claims for Atlas Shrugged.

And this code is in the english version or original greek/hebrew texts?

lol.

This code stuff is silly. That is the thing about Christianity, there are NO secrets, no secret knowledge because Adam and Eve ate the fruit. There is no mystical secrets in Christianity.

GeronL is partly right on this.

Torah is not a fortunetelling volume. The obvious purpose of the codes is to prevent tampering with the pure texts, not to be used to predict the future.

God hates sooth sayers.

The codes are solely in the Masorite texts, for the purpose of assuring that the text is unmodified.

It is clearly the work of God, as proven by extensive statistical analysis. The probability of them happening by accident is nil.

and who decided what the code is?

Who decided that every 9th letter on every 4th page or whatever would be it?

How do we know someone didn’t find a bunch of letters and then decide to make a code that fit it?

Humans devised the code, not God.

Thanks editor——nice input. My question is if God is an absolute mathematical genius then why could there not be numerical significance from the original Hebrew words?

PS. I posted this twice because I’m interested to find out more—not get excoriated for it, ehehehe.

For those that are interested, here are several Moby Dick examples of “predicting” assassinations:

You seem to miss the point that the text of Moby was altered to produce your “example.”
