Well, it is 11:42 and it appears that the answer to many of our prayers was "no." Not what we wanted to hear. Heartbreaking, but not surprising. A nation can not, after all, run around being completely unrepentant of murdering nearly 60 million babies and expect God to turn His head away forever. We also can not have a leader who would turn on God's chosen nation the way Obama has and expect for God's blessings to continue. Such would contradict Scripture - to which God is ultimately always faithful.
So where do we go? To our knees. Yet though He slay me, still will I trust Him. Where can we go but to the Lord? This is a very hard time. Our nation is gone. It is no longer America. Free stuff and fraud won. And God's people will no doubt face some very hard times.
But keep looking up. Nothing can happen without God's sovereign allowance. Even in this sorrow, He has a plan and it is for His glory and the good of His children. Perhaps to save our nation, which is what we have prayed, we must lose our nation. Don't know. But I know God is good. Heaven is real. And if we never get back what we lost, we have been blessed having had it. Love my Freeper friends. God bless the Free Republic, even if it's namesake no longer is.

You also need people who wise enough to recognize the truth in those ideas, and that we no longer have.
I feel our country’s time may have past, and we are in decline, hopefully a slow one. But probably not.
Supreme court appointments to the hard left, gun control, unilateral disarmament favors to our mortal enemies, higher taxes, higher gas and energy prices, and resulting economic collapse via the Cloward Piven strategy creating the ‘crisis’ below necessary to ‘fundamentally change our country’.

I prayed for one solid hour that His will be done. I trust that it was.
Sadly, you are right. That is why once a country goes down the road of dependency, there is almost no way back. I predicted this election result precisely because I believe we've crossed the point of no return - we are well on our way to being Greece.
Still, to have any chance of winning elections we need good, skilled candidates - who also have to promise some free stuff. The grass roots need to ask the question "can this person realistically win" FIRST before even considering nominating them. No more Angle's, O'Donnell's, etc.
I am so sorry, but remember, when all seems lost, there is a path. I have had a bit of a rough day, had to put our beloved girl basset down. She had been battling cancer for a few months, and yesterday her neck swelled up. She was tired and ready, but tonight, when things seem so grey, I am definitely missing her.
Why didn’t God listen to us hard working taxing paying Americans?
I truly believe that God has given America over to her sin.
Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
I don’t think the answer was no because of Mormonism. Of course God doesn’t endorse that. I believe that God said no because America’s sins are spilling over and the people are not repentant. We’re afraid of bad things happening, but we’re not repentant. We see the edge of the cliff and now want to call out like an atheist in a fox hole and say “save us” and God’s replying “save you? who are you? I don’t know you”. At least as a nation. God will honor the prayers of His true children. And He will bless us with grace we could never have imagined. And He will grow us up. It’s going to be okay. Maybe not for our nation, but for the people of God.
He answers, but not contrary to His will. There is a point where God’s justice kicks in and lines we can cross that can’t go ignored. This is the first openly hostile to Israel administration we have had. God isn’t going to ignore that. Nobody has stood for them and now we will have to take a fall. But God will remember who did.
You will be in my prayers,Carthego. I still believe that we as Americans are a part of God’s chosen people. Do not give up hope.
There are hard times coming for us all, but we must have faith that our Lord knows our hearts, and we must continue the fight for our beliefs.
Point taken and agreed upon. No matter if we have numerous good and righteous people praying, the Lord will not ignore the majority who thumb their noses at him.

Tonight you voted for murdering babies , advancing the homosexual agenda , and abandoning Israel.
You sold out your God given rights for a government handout.
You turned your back on God and he is going to turn his back on you. God is just and you can not expect him to bless this nation when this nation has sent him packing and kicked him out.
You have chosen leaders who think this country is over populated . Don’t worry they will do their best to take care of that problem by letting your parents and grandparents die without medical treatment , that shouldn’t bother you since you sold them out to get your free contraceptives , abortions and sex change operations.
Don’t expect those grandparents/parents to leave you anything because the government you elected is just going to take everything they worked for all their lives just after they put them to death .
You have traded freedom for slavery . Soon you will find out what it is to be a slave of a terrible master (government) Don’t cry when they take what you earn and leave you sitting there hungry , thirsty and out in the cold .
America you deserve the government you elected tonight and you are going to deserve every last bit of judgement and punishment that comes your way. America is NOT to big to fail.

Wow. I’m so sorry to hear of you trials. I’ve been through alot of hardship myself, but God had mercy on me and I am now thankful of how things have turned out for me. We must never doubt God’s love and long-term plans for each of his children, despite our Job-like testings. Life is not easy.

Only the people who curse God have no hope. I choose to put my faith in Jesus because I know I’m a member of a higher kingdom that transcends our simple national boundaries.
The Bible is filled with examples of God giving people over to their sin when they’re bound and determined to follow it, often with disastrous consequences. I can see that this will be no different.
But I will remain faithful.
As disappointed or heartbroken as I am now, it was my privilege to pray with all of you.
My prayer was that God help us to bring our Country back on the right track. Tonight we were shown that the majority is oblivious to what has happened in the last 4 years. Maybe God is telling us we have to work harder, not lose focus and promote better candidates.
