The burden of Egypt. Behold, the Lord rideth upon a swift cloud, and shall come into Egypt: and the idols of Egypt shall be moved at his presence, and the heart of Egypt shall melt in the midst of it. And I will set the Egyptians against the Egyptians: and they shall fight every one against his brother, and every one against his neighbour; city against city, and kingdom against kingdom. And the spirit of Egypt shall fail in the midst thereof; and I will destroy the counsel thereof: and they shall seek to the idols, and to the charmers, and to them that have familiar spirits, and to the wizards. And the Egyptians will I give over into the hand of a cruel lord; and a fierce king shall rule over them, saith the Lord, the Lord of hosts.(Isaiah 19:1-4)

Thanks to the efforts of American president Obama, the nation of Egypt has undergone dramatic changes over the past two years. The fall of the Mubarak government as a result of the so called “Arab Spring”, transformed our former ally in the war on terror, and partner in a 30 year peace treaty with Israel. into a staunch ally of Hamas, the terrorist organization in Gaza whose stated goal is the annihilation of the Jewish State.

Egypt’s new president is Mohammed Morsi, a longtime Muslim brotherhood member has publicly called for the implementation of Shariah, (Koranic Law). Morsi has proven to be a ruthless an adept politician, having sacked Egypt’s new parliament, and having out maneuvered the Egyptian generals who were the previous ruling elite of the country in the five months since he was elected.

Morsi’s status as a credible world leader was greatly enhanced when the Obama administration named Egypt as regional the broker of the cease-fire between Israel and Gaza.

Within one day of Morsi’s ‘success’ at brokering a Peace between Hamas and Israel, He sent out a decree which is causing sectarian turmoil throughout Egypt, as this MSN article reports;

CAIRO – Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi’s decree exempting all his decisions from legal challenge until a new parliament was elected caused fury amongst his opponents on Friday who accused him of being the new Hosni Mubarak and hijacking the revolution.

Thousands of chanting protesters packed Tahrir Square, the heart of the 2011 anti-Mubarak uprising, demanding Morsi quit and accusing him of launching a “coup”. There were violent protests in Alexandria, Port Said and Suez.

Morsi’s aides said the presidential decree was to speed up a protracted transition that has been hindered by legal obstacles but Morsi’s rivals were quick to condemn him as a new autocratic pharaoh who wanted to impose his Islamist vision on Egypt.

Buoyed by accolades from around the world for mediating a truce between Hamas and Israel, Morsi on Thursday ordered that an Islamist-dominated assembly writing the new constitution could not be dissolved by legal challenges.

“Morsi a ‘temporary’ dictator,” was the headline in the independent daily Al-Masry Al-Youm.

Morsi, an Islamist whose roots are in the Muslim Brotherhood, also gave himself sweeping powers that allowed him to sack the unpopular general prosecutor and opened the door for a retrial for Mubarak and his aides.

Egypt Transition Runs Amok:Morsi Decree Sparks Huge Protests”

The Egyptian embrace of radical Islam, and her subsequent resumption of open hostility to Israel, exposes the nation to the judgment of Genesis 12:3,”I will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you…”. Morsi could possibly be the cruel dictator that Isaiah predicted would come at the end time.

Humanly speaking, all of this has been greatly facilitated by Obama’s Cairo speech, and his Islamo sympathetic foreign policy as well.

But from a Spiritual perspective we know that the Holy God of the Bible is working, to bring about His own counsel, and to cause the Words of His prophets to stand. The restraints are being removed from the Arab nations that they might be brought forth for their final assault on the reborn Israel, as described in Psalm 83, Zechariah 12 and other places.

I would urge everyone to “seek the Lord while He can be found and call upon Him While he is near….”, for the Lord is coming to judge the world in Righteousness!

For some reason the middle of my article didn't post;

The Hebrew Prophets predict that in the last days, Egypt would come under the dealings of the God of Israel. Egypt’s sufferings are predicted to involve the rule of a “harsh king” whose rule will bring untold suffering to the Egyptian people, including a civil war, and a national financial collapse.

Already Morsi’s decree as sparked numerous clashes throughout Egypt, as this Daily Beast article indicates,

Demonstrations turned violent in a number of cities, including Cairo and Alexandria, and casualties were reported in al-Mahalla, Assiut, and Suez, where shouting matches between pro-and anti-Morsi protesters quickly escalated into clashes. Morsi opponents torched local branches of the Freedom and Justice Party, the political arm of the Muslim Brotherhood, to which Morsi is a loyalist.

The latest upheaval threatens the very concept of reform in a region hungry for change. In the five months since a majority of Egyptian voters just barely elected their first post-revolution president, the Arab world’s most populous nation has been forced to come to terms with a transition seemingly running amok. In some ways, change has come quickly since the revolution’s beginning nearly two years ago.

A civilian, Islamist president is in office, two firsts for this ancient society. Voters elected a new parliament, and then that parliament was dissolved. Military generals sought to thwart the transition, and then thegenerals were dismissed. State media, once gagged by Hosni Mubarak, found its voice—and then lost it once again.

Hello Pastor Bill,

I keep repeating this message to bring some awareness to what I think may be prophetically significant,

From a June 2012 news story: the Muslim Brotherhood’s Egyptian (then) presidential candidate, Mohammed Morsi stated that Christians will be forced to “convert, pay tribute, or leave.”

What this says, is that in Egypt, Christians are essentially becoming ‘outcasts’ in their own country,

Isaiah Chapter 27:13
“And it shall come to pass in that day, that the great trumpet shall be blown, and they shall come which were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and shall worship the Lord in the holy mount at Jerusalem.”

Three things are mentioned here along with ‘in that day’ meaning I believe within the context of the day of the Lord,

1. Believers are “ready to perish in the land of Assyria”
2. there are “outcasts” from the land of Egypt
3. The “great trumpet shall be blown”

The ‘great trumpet’ is (I believe) the Trump of God, the same one heard in Exodus 19,

Pray for those Christians suffering persecution in Egypt and those attempting to escape the fighting in Syria and in all of the middle east, this is a whirlwind, and our nation under this administration set this in motion,

Pray for the the peace of Jerusalem,

Thanks for the insights brother...may I use them in future articles? We have to get this message out, it is the interpretation to the current “hand writing on the wall” Grace and Peace-Pas Bill

Absolutely Pastor,

In his service, and to his glory only,

My other point is just to say that (I believe) there are a number of seemingly obscure prophecies and events beginning to happen now (just in the past few years) that are way off the radar, and that perhaps what is important to God, and even that which will ultimately fulfill the necessary promises surrounding his return, wont make it onto the front pages until its accompanied with judgement, and that will be far too late for many, we have to work while the day is still day,

“. . ye that make mention of the LORD, keep not silence” Isaiah 62:6
