Papal Frontal Assault

2012-12-04

Hello everyone and welcome to The Vortex where lies and falsehoods are trapped and exposed. I’m Michael Voris.

Every now and then .. Pope Benedict brings out the heavy lumber against abuses. He’s done it with those who would say the Traditional Latin Mass is a thing of the past .. He’s done it with the homosexual priest sex abuse crisis .. he’s done it on the massive lack of proper catechesis on the part of bishops .. he’s done it on liberal, barely still Catholic nuns and now he’s done it against the social justice crowd in the Church that keeps masquerading its liberal modernist agenda under the guise of caring for the poor – which any thinking person knows has been a complete façade for 40 years now.

A short while ago .. he wrote what is officially called a Motu Proprio .. which is Latin for a letter that was written “on his own accord” .. meaning it expresses the mind and heart of the Pope very clearly and came from his pen.

Unofficially .. this one could be called the heavyweight smackdown against the social justice gang roaming the corridors of the Church.

For years now .. faithful Catholics have been pointing to and highlighting massive abuses in the Church’s charitable work where so-called Catholics distribute funds collected from unsuspecting Catholics in the pews and then give that money to groups who directly and indirectly support causes that fly in the face of Catholic teaching.

We here at ChurchMilitant.TV just released last month our Special Report immediately in advance of the US Bishops’ annual collection known as the CCHD .. The Catholic Campaign for Human Development ..which has been rife with abuses for decades.

We’ve attached a link to the program if you would like to see it which spotlights dozens and dozens of such cases like your money going to pro-abortion and pro-same sex marriage groups just to name some of the issues.

Despite boilerplate denials coming from the liberal lay staffers who have manned those offices for years .. and their own fox guarding the hen house internal inspection .. nothing has changed .. with the exception that even MORE anti-Catholic teaching groups have gotten an even larger share of the collection.

Faithful Catholics had had enough. After years and years of complaints being shoved aside and dismissed by more liberal or social justice minded bishops and their staffs both on the diocesan level and the national headquarters in Washington DC .. reports started being transmitted to more friendly ears at the Vatican.

Various private meetings and discussions have been held in the past couple of years not just about the disgraceful situation in America but also in Canada where a mirror of the US problem is plainly visible.

It would appear .. no guarantees .. but in a case of two and two adding up to four .. it would appear that some of those complaints and meetings and discussions have finally found their target .. the Holy Father himself .. who .. politely .. yet nevertheless quite clearly and firmly made known that he is not happy with the abuses and that a new course must be set.

We’ve also attached his Motu Proprio for you to read for yourself which we suggest you take the 10 minutes to do. It is .. frankly .. the most complete and through smackdown of the misunderstanding and misapplication of the Church’s teaching on charity you will find.

There are SO MANY passages worth quoting that illustrate the issue .. it would be a massive effort to highlight them all .. but in summary .. right our of the box he says the Church’s charitable work is “inseparable” from Her work of proclaiming the gospel.

And that doesn’t mean in some fuzzy happy clappy way but in a real and tangible CATHOLIC way because he also says .. in the very first sentence .. that this includes the sacraments .. that the gospel .. sacraments and charitable work all “presuppose each other and are inseparable.”

For the modernist gang .. it’s all down hill from there. For the lay liberals who have run the show for decades .. consider this your bell tolling. Here are some other notable passages .. remember these in light of the problem of giving money to groups who supposedly fight poverty but actively and publically support, contraception, child sex education, the distribution of condoms and other birth control, abortion, same-sex marriage, active homosexual practices: “..offering our contemporaries not only material assistance, but also refreshment and care for their souls..”

“The Church’s charitable activity at all levels must avoid the risk of becoming just another form of organized social assistance..”

“.. there is a need to ensure that they [the Church’s charities] are managed in conformity with the demands of the Church’s teaching and the intentions of the faithful,”

“.. the collective charitable initiatives to which this Motu Proprio refers are required to follow Catholic principles in their activity.”

“It is the responsibility of the diocesan Bishop to ensure that in the activities and management of these agencies the norms of the Church’s universal and particular law are respected, as well as the intentions of the faithful who made donations or bequests for these specific purposes.”

“The [Catholic] agencies .. are required to select their personnel from among persons who share, or at least respect, the Catholic identity of these works.”

“To ensure an evangelical witness in the service of charity, the diocesan Bishop is to take care that those who work in the Church’s charitable apostolate … give an example of Christian life and witness to a formation of heart which testifies to a faith working through charity.”

And then the hammer …

“In particular, the diocesan Bishop is to ensure that charitable agencies dependent upon him do not receive financial support from groups or institutions that pursue ends contrary to Church’s teaching. Similarly, lest scandal be given to the faithful, the diocesan Bishop is to ensure that these charitable agencies do not accept contributions for initiatives whose ends, or the means used to pursue them, are not in conformity with the Church’s teaching.”

The mind of the Holy Father is quite clear .. ALL organized works of charity by the Church must be carried out by correctly schooled faithful Catholics who accept and live and give witness to the Church’s teachings and these works and efforts must not involve themselves financially with other outfits which go against Church teaching .. and this is to be avoided because of .. at the very least .. giving scandal to the faithful.

Now the faithful have a very explicit document to arm themselves with as a weapon when they ask their bishop or social justice worker at the parish why this or that agency is being supported or this type of work is being engaged in. The mask of poverty fighting and so-called social justice can finally be ripped off these saul alinksy inspired community organizing efforts and they can be called out precisely for what they are.

Its gonna be a long hard slog faithful Catholics. Remember .. your battling decades and decades of what has become an institutionalized spirit of rebellion whose groundwork was laid for decades before that. But this is one more weapon in your hands to fight against that spirit.

GOD Love you,

I’m Michael Voris

This is going to be fantastic for us — and a dilema to those organizations that funnel money to Planned Parenthood, Vagina Monologues, etc. Need I say more?

But I believe the laity has a huge responsibility in this to be active in spotting abuses — and then reporting them first, to their local priest, and secondly, to the bishop of their diocese.
