Father, we pray for our troops, that You would give them the power to trust in You and Your goodness even as they confront evil and suffering.
Lord, we ask You to make this Christmas season a time of grace for us; encourage us with Your great love.
LORD, we remember the former things, those of long ago. We remember how You spoke, and the world came to be; You commanded, and it stood firm. By Your Word the heavens were created, the starry hosts by the breath of Your mouth. You said, Let it be, and it was. You gave Your promise to Abraham, a blessing that would fall on all nations; You made a covenant with Israel, and gave Your Word by the prophets. Lord, You make known the end from the beginning, and from ancient times what is still to come. You are God, and there is no other; You are God, and there is none like You. Your purpose stands, and You will do all that You please. We wait in hope for You, for Your purpose that is coming true, and we pray in the Name of Jesus our Lord and our God, Amen.
A call to prayer.
A call to prayer.
From across the intersection, I watched as a car hesitated when the traffic light turned green. Then, out of nowhere, a voice began screaming, Go! Go! Come on, go! The driver appeared frightened by the angry cries, and he was a bit confused as to where the voice was coming from. Then I saw itthe car behind him was equipped with a loudspeaker that enabled him to yell at other drivers! Eventually, the hesitant driver collected himself and moved along. I was struck by the rudeness and impatience of the angry driver.
Sometimes people think God is like thatirritated, impatient, and ready to shout at them through some divine megaphone. They fear that He is looking over their shoulder, ready to punish every wrong move.
In reality, Gods actions toward His children, even though we falter on our way through life, are born out of His patient love. The apostle Paul wanted the Thessalonians to understand this and prayed: Now may the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the patience of Christ (2 Thess. 3:5).
God is at work in our lives, and He will accomplish His purposes. There may be times when God lovingly prods and disciplines His children, but He wont be impatiently yelling at us.

Amen to your Prayer for Our American heroes and for Our Nation.
Protect all those in harm’s way and their families who also sacrifice.
Make Yourself known to our leaders.
May what is done for evil be over-ruled and turned to good.
Most of all, give us a heart of repentance and pour out Your Spirit so revival will spread throughout the land.
In Jesus Name,
Praying with you for our Heroes and our beloved Nation.
AMEN! Thank you for leading us.
I join in prayer for our heroes and nation!
'Blessed is the Man who Makes the Lord his Trust.' (Ps.40:4)
Because God wanted to make the unchanging nature of his purpose very clear to the heirs of what was promised, he confirmed it with an oath. God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope offered to us may be greatly encouraged. (Hebrews 6:17-18)
