Thanks ~ some good thoughts there ~ i'd spent the evening studying up on the Antipopes in the 1400/1500 period ~ quite timely thoughts that actually helped me figure out what the motives were for these fellows and the other popes regularly forgiving each other (except for Cardinal Borja/Borgia).

it's obvious they played hard ball politics ~ with one of them having to serve as a top organizer for the war to drive the Turks out of Hungary, but they must have been serious Christians to have put comity among Christians first.
