Wow, an amazing collection of nonsense and fantasy numbers. I love the part about American Christians destroying Mexico’s wonderfulness, and that only 38% of Mexican immigrants are Catholics, although they come from one of the purest Catholic paradises on earth.
Those Mexicans only recently started showing up, so they do not skew Catholic voting data from history, 100-150 year history where Protestants only voted democrat 3 times while white Catholics always voted democrat except for 5 or 6 times.

Besides, it is a church denomination, not a racial club for pure whites, although whites are fleeing the Catholic denomination.

From the article “The Pew poll found that almost half of the world’s Christians are Catholic”.

It looks like we all agree that the Vatican makes up it’s numbers, or else we agree that Catholics vote democrat, but one of those has to be true.

Protestants are non-Catholic Christians, non-affiliated are atheist, agnostic, and those with no particular religion, whether Islam or Christian, or Sikh or what ever.

Church going is not required to be counted as Protestant or Catholic, it is based on whether the person is still a Catholic, and of course as we see, the person is certainly counted as a member of the Catholic church by the Catholic church itself, or if the person identifies as a Christian, but not with the Catholic denomination.

>> I love the part about ... that only 38% of Mexican immigrants are Catholics, although they come from one of the purest Catholic paradises on earth. <<

Wow. you seriously have comprehension issues, don’t you? The whole point was that they ARE counted as Catholics, but are unchurched. If you disbelieve that, I challenge you to find a Catholic parish in the most Spanish-dominated neighborhood you can find, and count how many English masses they have and how many Spanish masses they have.

>> 100-150 year history where Protestants only voted democrat 3 times <<

Majorities of Protestants voted for Carter in 1976, Johnson in 1964, Roosevelt in 1932, 1936, 1940 and 1944. Unlike Catholics, they did vote for Eisenhower, who funded more Communist revolutions than Stalin; Nixon who passed more of the 1960s/1970s era liberalism than LBJ; and John McCain. Not very impressive. Catholics did, however, align themselves with Democrats during the Industrial Revolution. Do you really need to be told why?

>> Besides, it is a church denomination, not a racial club for pure whites, although whites are fleeing the Catholic denomination. <<

The relevancy of white Catholics is to compare them to white Protestants. Black Protestants, of course vote NINETY-EIGHT PERCENT for Barrack Obama. Although Catholics make up only about 5% of blacks in America, they make up about 50% of prominent anti-Obama blacks: Alan Keyes, Clarence Thomas, Michael Steele, Thomas Sowell...

>> It looks like we all agree that the Vatican makes up it’s numbers, or else we agree that Catholics vote democrat, but one of those has to be true. <<

Polls which show Catholics vote Democrat are based on self-identification; the Vatican has nothing to do with these numbers. Only about 40% of those who can attend mass regularly do so, however. And yes, many of those who do not continue to be counted as Catholics by the Vatican BECAUSE THEY HAVE TOLD THEIR CATHOLIC DIOCESE THAT THEY ARE CATHOLIC.

Similarly, about 40% of those who describe themselves as Protestants, or non-Catholic Christians attend church services. But here’s the difference: the remainder rarely identify themselves by a denomination BECAUSE THEY DO NOT ATTEND SERVICES AT THAT DENOMINATION.

It’s really quite simple: Non-Church-going Catholics still think of themselves as Catholics. Non-church-going non-Catholics do not identify themselves as belonging to any church which they no longer go to. And there’s a very simple reason for that distinction: Protestants don’t believe denominations matter, and Catholics do.

If you learn that Mitt Romney is actually a Catholic, will it make your head explode?

Hispanic voters who are members of the Catholic denomination and are counted as such by the Catholic denomination, are surprise, Catholics!

The democrats only won more than 50% of the Protestant vote in 1932, 1936, and 1964.

It is indicated by some polling that Catholics voted for Eisenhower in 1956, but in 1972, without question, they voted for Richard M. Nixon, regardless of your seeming preference that they vote democrat in those years.

The history of Catholic voting has been little influenced by this recent immigration of Catholics who are not pure enough racially for some, although they are both members of the same denomination, that is sad.

Even white Catholics are liberals as history shows, even in 2008, now that the dwindling white Catholic population has started moving right, only 52% of them voted republican in 2008 while white Protestants (which includes the non-baptized, non-church members and non-attending) voted 65% GOP, and the second largest denomination in America, voted 80% republican.

Protestants are all just lumped together, and it has nothing to do with attending church or not, or belonging to any particular denomination.

If you are a member of the Catholic church then you are counted as such if you mention it, if you are a Christian but not a Catholic, or a member of any Protestant church, then you still are labelled as Protestant.

It is that simple, either the Vatican makes up fake numbers, or members of that denomination vote overwhelmingly democrat.

Where is there anything that makes sense or is relevant, in that childish post?

Surprise, but you don’t have a clue what the hell you’re talking about!

>> It is indicated by some polling that Catholics voted for Eisenhower in 1956, but in 1972, without question, they voted for Richard M. Nixon, <<

I was referring to Nixon in 1960 and Eisenhower in 1952. But OK, now we have Catholics voting Republican seven times.

>> The democrats only won more than 50% of the Protestant vote in 1932, 1936, and 1964. <<

Protestants voted 50% Democrat in 1932, 1936, 1940, 1964 and 1976. Democrats also won a plurality of the Protestant vote in 1948 and 1996.

Catholics and Southern Protestants both were Democrat constituencies. Catholics voted for Democrats because they didn’t like being locked in factories for 96 hours a week. Southern Protestants voted for Democrats because they loved murdering innocent black folks and claiming that God hated n*ggers. So let’s not act like their voting was indicative of higher morality.

Abortion rates in nations that are 75% Catholic (where data is available):

Poland 0.1
Mexico 0.2
Chile 0.8
Austria 3
Ireland * 5.6
Italy 8.2
Spain 18.9

Abortion rates in nations with Protestant majorities:

South Africa 6.8
Finland 14.4
Iceland 16.6
United States 19.6
Denmark 20.2
Norway 20.4
United Kingdom 21.2
New Zealand 21.9
Sweden 24.6
Latvia 27.9
Belize 28
Estonia 30.9

Note: Pro-abortion organizations have long claimed very high rates of abortions in Latin American nations, including Mexico. In 2006, Mexico City legalized abortions, and there is no way other Mexican states can prevent residents from obtaining abortions in Mexico City. Based on advocates’ predictions, one would estimate that there would be over 800,000 abortions; there are less than 17,000.

Surprise, but yes, even Hispanic Americans who are members of the Catholic denomination and are counted as Catholics by the Catholic church are, Catholics!

Catholics have only voted against an incumbent democrat once, in history, naturally they voted for the more liberal candidate in 1952 and 1960.

Catholics have gone majority republican only 5 times, possibly six depending on 1956.

Protestants only voted 50% plus democrat in 1932, 1936, and 1964, so like so many of your figures, yours are nonsense.

Catholics are just more liberal and dependably democrat, including during Jim Crow, when the majority of the nations Protestants were voting republican, and your language is atrocious.

In America, the Catholic vote is dependably pro-abortion, that is why Obama can always count on the Catholic vote.
