The Horn of My Salvation

Psalm 18:2

The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

The Hebrew word for horn is qeren (keh-renn) meaning "strength". This refers to the horn of an animal such as oxen, goats and rams which, in Jewish tradition, symbolizes strength, power and victory. Throughout the Scriptures the word "horn" is used when referring to the strength of Israel, or the strength of a leader.

We Beseech You on Behalf of Our Captive Brethren,
Christians and Jews,
In Bondage in Hostile lands.

We Plead For Israeli Control Over All the Holy Sites in Israel,
so that All Faiths may visit them.
We Pray For Bibi Netanyahu, and the Leaders of Israel
May They Receive Wisdom from You to do the Right Thing.
We Pray For The Swift and Sure Coming of Messiah,

Horns on an animal are dangerous, providing a wicked means of self defense against other animals. Man kills from a distance. No fair. Man hangs the antlers or horns mounted on his wall, and horns are used to blow the shofar. The shofar ... is for the call of God. One day He will sound the Shofar and we will see His coming. We are to be ready at all times. Today we have drifted away from our readiness. Almost like a fairy tale.

This is for real, vital, imposing, sound carries long distances. Signals of the watchman on the wall to the other watchmen. Let us be ever vigilant of His coming time. We do not want to be found wanting when He comes. Father in Heaven we pray for the peace of Israel, Jerusalem, for the persecuted believers, the lost, for America, blessings and peace upon all seeking to know thee and serve Thee. We pray for forgiveness of sins, for mercy, we thank thee moment to moment for thy Blessings heaped upon us daily. Thank Thee for the Treasure of the Scriptures, for life itself and for our part in Eternal life, may we be zealous to please Thee ever, in Jesus name, amen.
