Some in the media have popularized the term "culture war," giving the impression that the war being waged against Christianity is the same thing as a war against everything that is traditional.
But in 2013, let's change the term. Let's call it what it is: "A war against Christ."
Certainly there are many American traditions rooted in Christian teaching and history. But mixing some traditions with what is purely Christ-honoring -- although it may recruit support from non-Christian traditionalists or conservatives -- dilutes the Christian dye.
Take for example the ACLU's war against Christians praying in public schools while obliging Muslims the ability make their noon prayers in a school. Or Vanderbilt University's discrimination against Christians -- forbidding them from meeting on campus if they adhere to their religious principles. Or dozens of other cases that are clearly a war against Christ and His followers -- pure and simple.
So let's call it what it is.
Christians know why the world hates us. The One we worship warned us 2,000 years ago. Jesus said that the reason they hate us is because they hated Him. Just look what they did to Him!
Christians should seek to understand that type of hatred. But by "understand," I don't mean we should wave the white flag of surrender. On the contrary, we should be worried if the secular culture were to embrace us with open arms. We ought to be wary, for example, if Piers Morgan were to one night praise the sacrificial services that Christians practice as an indication of our love for Christ and one another.

I struggle with Christ's admonition "not to return evil with evil." In the age of Obama, this is especially challenging.

This war has been noted by many. It is a War against Truth (Christian Theology where individualism developed—where the idea of Individual Rights originate).
Collectivism has to eliminate individual worth so humans can be killed and used as a “means to an end” which is evil in Christian philosophy.
Marxism is irrational—The Big Lie-—and the only reason they are winning is because the public school has been designed to destroy Wisdom in children. They are taught LIES as “truth” and so after years of this-—they are unable to Reason because their foundational “knowledge” is junk.
The schools teach children that if it “feels” good—it is good which will destroy the Classical (Christian) idea of Virtue. It is why all Classical thought is ejected—because without those ideas of Good and Evil——the Marxists can shape children to believe anything-—Good is Evil and Evil is Good-—like abortion is good—sodomy is good. We are seeing the flipping of morality as I type because of generations of brainwashing since Dewey—and reinforced by TV and movies.
Our culture is as rotten as the Weimar Republic was-—and cultures collapse when Virtue is not promoted and normalized in children.

This may not go over well but I put the “gun control” issue as part of this war the article speaks of. The Christians who founded the country thought it was important that free people are armed. The same enemies of Christ are also seeking to defang the American population. That will pave the way for all out war on believers.
Exactly. Listening to some of the stuff my niece says and I know she got it from the collectivistic/Marxist/anti-Christian worldview she hears in school and in popular entertainment.
