‘Monsignor Meth’: Priest Accused of Drug Dealing, Having Sex in Church Rectory

It’s just like Breaking Bad, but replace the mild-mannered high school chemistry teacher with a prominent Catholic priest. Monsignor Kevin Wallin of Bridgeport, Conn., is facing trial for selling up to $9,000 of methamphetamine a week and has been relieved of his ecumenical duties after superiors learned of his alleged penchant for gay sex on church grounds.

The 61-year-old was suspended from duties at Bridgeport’s St. Augustine Cathedral in May as a result of his increasingly erratic behavior. “We became aware that he was acting out sexually — with men — in the church rectory,” Brian Wallace, a spokesman for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Bridgeport, told the Connecticut Post. A source also told the paper that Wallin allegedly enjoyed dressing in women’s clothes. However, the monsignor continued to receive a stipend from the diocese until his Jan. 3 arrest at his apartment on drug charges, according to a report in the Connecticut Post. (The diocese denies any knowledge of alleged narcotics peddling by Wallin.)

“After Egan became Cardinal in New York in 2000, he issued what seemed to be an apology for the archdiocese of Bridgeport’s failure to act against the abuse. He remained so unpopular that he became the first cardinal in New York history not to remain until he died in office. He announced from his retirement that he had not really apologized after all.“I did say if we did anything wrong, I’m sorry, but I don’t think we did anything wrong,” Egan said last February.”

This is the guy who presided over the Child Molester that was at St Rose of Lima . It appears he may have been there at the time Lanza was a boy,

If Jesus is God or an incarnation of God, as Christians seem generally to believe, it is certain that one can bargain with God. Abraham, Noah, Jonah... The list goes on and on. Do you reckon he stopped negotiating when Jesus was born? Maybe that is the case. I’m not a Christian, therefore it’s the Hellfire for me, according to Christians. At the same time I figure there must be an eternal punishment for a guy like this no matter how many Hail Marys he recites. Nu?

Absolute power corrupts. Holding positions that are beyond reproach and suspicion makes it easier.

So...not much supervision from above? Or...was it encouragement?

Jesus told us how these offenders should be handled—Mark 9:42 (”And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck and he were cast into the sea”).

read that sentence again.

Who was over the Child Molester at St Rose of Lima when Lanza was there???

Although, Wallin was associated with Egan as closest personal confidant and secretary when Egan ran Bridgeport.

It should run CHILLS up the spin of anyone living in that area that Egan felt like he did nothing wrong hiding, lying, and exposing kids to child molesters.

Who else is a child molester in that area??????

You are a real piece of work. I suppose it’s okay for you to have a ring of Child Molesting Priests. How many of these Priests was Adam Lanza exposed to...and where does the story of the purple van and the Nun outfit come into play.

Something is wrong in this community.

Registered Sex Offenders in Bridgeport is 490 to 1.

In Chicago it is 1,044 to 1

DC is 672 to 1

NYC 3908 to 1

Aurora Colorado 536 to 1

But I would like to know something.

When a school goes on lockdown isn’t there a procedure for a Monsignor to actually be required to make sure his students are okay or can he just go run off leaving them exposed to GOD KNOWS WHAT????!!!

Interesting response to Egan’s interview.

44 Priests. HOW MANY VICTIMS OVER THE YEARS?????????????

Of course, we know now there were more Child Predators in that Diocese - and maybe still more that haven’t been discovered.

Btw, for those that are not keeping up with the Pedophile Priests in the Bridgeport Diocese

John Castaldo may have been there at the time when Lanza was a boy.

So what do we have:

The Franklin Cover Up

The Vatican Cover Up

The Penn State Cover Up

All three of the above are related

Then we have

Mk Ultra

And a Project Called Orion that may or may not have really existed as exposed by someone who was a Target of the Clintons.

There are some really messed up people in this world.

The next Inquisition needs to be internal.

The inquisition, by its nature, is internal (whoever told you otherwise misled you) ...

And seriously, we could use a good, solid inquisition right here in the USA. More than 10 years ago, members of this forum were strongly suggesting the necessity of an American Inquisition.

I can appreciate how you feel, but the Catholic Church and Jesus Christ parted company more than 1000 years ago!

"Reminding" people of blatant falsehood wastes your time, discredits you, and insults the intelligence of your audience.

If that's what you want, keep up the good work.

It was mentioned in an article I read that Adam Lanza’s mom was a Catholic and went to church on Sundays.

I hope Adam was not molested by the guy! Maybe the pervert activity inspired an enemy to call in that bomb threat to the local catholic church after Adam’s crime.

Every Church Inquisition (the word means "investigation," "judicial inquest") IS internal. There are also State Inquisitions (e.g. Spain) which are answerable to the monarchs --- but that's a whole 'nother thing.

And yes, I have a favorite Inquisitor: St. Turibius of Mongrovejo (also known as "Toribio"). A lawyer for the Inquisition, he traveled South America --- the vast Diocese of Lima ---convening hearings on corrupt clergy, many of them guilty of oppressing native people via theft of their land, slavery, and concubinage.

He was not looking to punish them (via imprisonments or execution or anything of the sort.) His aim was to expose their deeds, compensate their victims, and order them to repent, and if they did not repent, depose them.

What a man. Wish we had more of his sort today.

These things put all priests in a bad light.

Yes. There are so many good and great men... such shame.
