White, “Christian” and Treasonous: Who Will They Kill? (Guess who he's talking about?)
Patheos ^ | January 23, 2013 | Frank Schaeffer

Posted on 01/23/2013 5:03:41 PM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

The battle over gun control has exposed a truth the mainstream media is apparently too shy to mention: A bunch of far right white mostly southern paranoid extremists are preparing for armed revolution and apocalypse. They speak treason: literally.

They are preparing to “defend” America from America with arsenals of weapons and stockpiles of ammunition. Their “enemy” is everyone in America not like them.

They think the world is ending and/or that the government is out to get them. That doesn’t mean it will happen. But expect violence and assassinations. Their ideology is made up of equal parts racism, evangelical Christian fascination with the “end times,” hatred of president Obama, resentment of the “Old South” variety and a Fox News/Glenn Beck/Rush Limbaugh version of world “history.” As the New Yorker noted:

“Every demographic and political trend that helped to reëlect Barack Obama runs counter to the [South’s] self-definition:…The Solid South speaks less and less for America and more and more for itself alone… Solidity has always been the South’s strength, and its weakness. The same Southern lock that once held the Democratic Party now divides the Republican Party from the socially liberal, fiscally moderate tendencies of the rest of America… The South’s vices—‘violence, intolerance, aversion and suspicion toward new ideas’—grow particularly acute during periods when it is marginalized and left behind. An estrangement between the South and the rest of the country would bring out the worst in both—dangerous insularity in the first, smug self-deception in the second.”

The Republican/white/southern extremists make reasonable gun control impossible. Their cataclysmic irrationality risks taking the debate into the twilight zone, and that “zone” is a zone of violence: call it the civil war continued by other means...

I think the ferocious defense of guns is because gun right defenders refused to be forced into total dependency on and submission to - government. There is a principle in there somewhere.

They don’t like us and we don’t like them.

Difference is they are scared sh!tless of us. They know they need people like us to protect their sorry asses. They couldn’t fight their way out of a wet paper bag. In other words they are pussies.

Nice try, libtard, but it won’t work. You’ll have to shoot first.

Duuuhhh!

The last I read indicated that the ammo, reloading and firearms sell out was a “nation wide” thing. The Citizens are afraid of a Federal Government running totally out of control. The approval rating of Congress is the lowest ever charted.

This is not about racism, although some in DC who are Black and Racist seem to be at the epicenter of the chaos.

It is about freedom being threatened.

The left would love to find an excuse to use martial law on those who disagree with them. The press would clearly help them work this up.

Now witnessing stores bare of ammo and guns should sober them, but it only angers them. They should be afraid, but not of White Southerners, but Angry Americans.

DC, shut up and fix this mess. Or we will replace you.

Just this week we had a bill introduced in Michigan to protect gun owners from FOIA requests by newspapers and another to protect guns made and sold in Michigan from federal regulation.

“DC, shut up and fix this mess. Or we will replace you.”

DC ain’t gonna fix nothing. The best thing they can do is shut up and do nothing. But, apparently that is not what they think folks send them to DC to do. So, they pass more laws, pat themselves on the back, go back home and tell all their sheep what great deeds they have done for them and how great they are. And, everytime they pass more laws and regulations we fall further into tyranny.

Texas legislature is in session. Happens every 2 years. Hope we have a successful list of new 2nd amendment support.

With new legislation or not, the Fed Gov is in for an education about how Texans and Okies feel about this.

There is no distention.

Shall NOT be Infringed.

Yeah, if they say that certain parts of the country are so bad, why not just let those parts go (secede) and then they aren’t “stuck” with us any more (and we’re not stuck with them either)?

The ones who speak treason are those who would destroy our Constitution.

When the 2nd. Amendm, ent means nothing, the rest means nothing either.

They all have their own TV shows.... Jersey Shore and the hillbilly one. And yes, Elmer Fudd the representation of the white bread yankee bozo who hunts.

Surprisingly the truth in the South is much different. In the rural South blacks and whites long ago set limits and there is a great deal of cooperation and tolerance. Less so in the cities.

“Rednecks” in the South is not an epithet— and these bozos would be well advised about it. A redneck was a UNION coal miner, who for recognition (especially in the mine wars after WWI) wore red bandanas around their neck. Pure and simple. In Florida, a “cracker” is also not an epithet— it was a name for cattle drivers (white and black and indian) who cracked whips to drive cattle. Words mean things. And the elitists who really hate the working man, want to disarm the working man of his own personal defense-—white or black people know this.

Elitists do not. These are venture socialists— not “national” in the sense they have no love of this country as patriots. This is the NWO via the UN (never forget Kurt Waldheim the ex nazi Sec. Gen) world government.

In the North who are the rednecks? It is the “outfit” the Mob, the Sopranos.... that’s who and they aren’t all italians.

Reverend Frank is quite comfortable with racism and bigotry as long as it is directed at people he hates.

The assumption they are all republicans is laughable. Lots of lost rural democrats in the south and everywhere else. You can see it on demo underground site. The 2nd amendment is a point of divergence, when demos realize they are having a right taken away (those demos anyway).

Frankly that sounds like the rural north I grew up in. You shouldn't be so easily manipulated by liberal writers.

I think the author of this article did a pretty good job of describing THEIR position. It does not bode well for the Republic.

Their bottom line seems to be that the government can do anything that a majority is convinced is good for the nation. There are basically no limits whatsoever on taxes, programs, redistribution, regulation, incentives, invasions of privacy, entitlements, or debts. No limits whatsoever.
