Pray for our Heroes and Nation

Father, I bring the needs of our government before You and ask You to bless our nation through godly leaders. I magnify the Name of Jesus and declare that He is Lord over this nation.

Father, I pray according to I Timothy 2:1-3 which says, “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour.” I pray, in the Name of the Lord Jesus, for our president, the vice president, all the Cabinet and the chief justice and associate justices of the Supreme Court to receive the wisdom of God, to act in obedience to that wisdom and for the power of God to flow in their lives.

I pray for the members of the Senate and the House of Representatives to find Your peace and direction, and for these men and women to act and lead according to Your Word. A house divided against itself cannot stand, therefore, I pray for them to be unified in righteousness for the sake of the nation.

I pray for Your protection to cover all our law enforcement officers and the men and women of the military. I ask for godly counsel and wisdom for judges across this land. In the Name of Jesus, I pray that You and your kingdom of righteousness be manifested in the hearts of all those who are in authority in any way.

Father, Your Word says to pray for the peace of Jerusalem because those that love Jerusalem shall prosper. Lord Jesus, because You love Jerusalem and wept over it, I love it also. I pray for Jerusalem to receive the Shalom of God, which brings wholeness—nothing missing, nothing broken. I pray that no leader of our nation will make any decision that will harm Jerusalem in any way. And in the Name of Jesus, I pray that You reveal Your perfect will to all the leaders of Israel. I ask You, Lord, to reveal Yourself to each person. Thank You, Father, for hearing my prayers that are in accordance to Your will. I receive the answers, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Under it. Over it. Around it. Through it. Nothing will stop me from doing it.” I often hear people express this kind of attitude when they get an idea or see an opportunity that seems good or profitable. They devote all of their resources to getting it done.

As evidence that this way of thinking may be flawed, I call as my witness a donkey—a donkey belonging to a man named Balaam.

Balaam was offered a profitable assignment from a neighboring king, and he inquired of God for permission to accept it (Num. 22). When God said no, the king’s representatives made a better offer. Thinking God might change His mind, Balaam asked again. God granted permission for Balaam to go with them but with strict conditions. God knew Balaam’s heart and was not pleased with him, so He placed His Angel in the way. Balaam couldn’t see the Angel but his donkey could. When the donkey refused to continue, Balaam became angry with the animal for blocking his progress.

Balaam’s story teaches us that not every obstacle is meant to be overcome. Some are placed by God to keep us from doing something foolish. When our plans are hindered, we shouldn’t assume that it’s Satan trying to stop us. It might be God trying to protect us.

even when we don’t realize we need it.

In the coldest and darkest days of the American Revolution, General George Washington raised his prayers for the survival of his beleaguered Army and of the new Nation. The Lord answered those prayers, upheld his Army through a punishing nadir to everlasting glory and bestowed His manifold benefits upon the new Nation.

In like manner, let our prayers now rise lie a fountain for our Heroes in the American Armed Forces who seek to secure the benefits of Freedom on behalf of a people hungry for them. Father, look on our prayers for them with favor, guide their steps in righteousness and keep them in the shelter of Your Healing Wings. Bless and uphold them in the performance of their Mission. Through Jesus Christ, Your Son, with the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever, Amen.

JESUS IS LORD...OH not until we are in GLORY with YOU JESUS will be ever be able to give enough HOMAGE to what these three words mean. Not until we see YOU as YOU ARE, KING OF KINGS, LORD OF LORDS, ALMIGHTY GOD, CROWNED LORD OF ALL can we give enough PRAISE and WORSHIP deserving of YOUR GREAT NAME. OH LORD, that his country would dare turn its back on YOU...that this country would dare mock YOU , that YOUR people would dare be silent in the face of the great sins we have allowed to infiltrate our society, that we dare not even today, kneel before YOU in repentance, asking for MERCY and a SPIRIT OF REPENTANCE over our country to the GLORY OF YOUR NAME. OH LORD...My pastor once said...is not enough to accept JESUS as Savior, with all the benefits that go with SALVATION...but we must accept HIM as LORD, with the Humility, Obedience, Submission, Honor, Servitude, and Suffering, that is our privilege to be called YOUR CHILDREN. Yes JESUS, YOU ARE LORD, and one day every knee will bow, on earth, in heaven, beneath the earth...and every tongue will confess YOU LORD, to the GLORY OF GOD..AMEN.

Restore this SPIRIT within our COUNTRY: . . . work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure. Philippians 2:12-13 Give our leaders who have called YOU LORD, the courage to fight in Washington. OH LORD JESUS, YOU are not mocked, as a country sows, so does it reap. OH LORD JESUS, hear our prayer. For our brave soldiers who have called YOU LORD, may they remember this motto and walk and stand firm in it to the GLORY OF GOD the FATHER who had willed this country into being: GOD FAMILY COUNTRY with all true zeal and wisdom and honor. PROTECT THEM Dear LORD as they, in faith, lean on YOU each day. OH LORD JESUS, as these soldiers bend their knee in prayer now, may those who do not know YOU as LORD or SAVIOR, FIND SALVATION even today. May MERCY and GRACE be wrapped upon their shoulders like a cape as in HUMILITY and FEAR they REVERE YOU as LORD and REJOICE in their Salvation. And as always Dear LORD, work a work of TRUE repentance into the heart of my Jake, and through the heart of our ALEK, so that as they serve, they will know the TRUE MEANING of SECURITY and HONOR in the words JESUS IS LORD...Amen.
