Sex Symbols Who Speak in Tongues?
Charisma News ^ | 2-4-13 | Michael Brown

Posted on 02/10/2013 4:45:41 PM PST by ReformationFan

I was at the grocery store the other day when I was unexpectedly confronted with an adult-oriented magazine located right next to the vitamin section. I immediately had to look away from the front cover, which featured a scantily clad, seductively posed, sex symbol. Yet it was only a few weeks ago that I read an article about how this same sex symbol loves to speak in tongues and has to restrain herself from outbursts in tongues while attending church services. What?

This is actually a perfect illustration of American charismatic Christianity, where you can say you love Jesus (like the rapper “The Game” claims to do) and still frequent strip clubs (as “The Game” still does), or where you can flow in the gifts of the Spirit and become a made-for-TV preaching sensation, only to announce that God told you that you married the wrong woman, leading to a quick divorce and remarriage.

Yes, this is the “gospel” of the 21st century, “Spirit-filled” church of America, where the cross is bypassed, denial of the flesh is scorned, purity is called legalism, and anything goes if it feels good.

It is the “gospel” of self, in which Jesus dies to make you into a bigger and better you, a “gospel” in which God is here to serve you and help you fulfill your dreams, and where the measure of all things is not how God feels about it but how you feel about it (or how it makes you feel).

I guess you have never been in the military. I retired from the Marine Corps and tattoos have been part of the Corps since the late 1800s. We've had Commandants that had tattoos. The issue was where the tattoos were. For instance, officers were not allowed to have tattoos that showed if wearing a T-shirt.

I got my tattoo in 1983. It is the standard WWII "USMC" tattoo on my left shoulder. I thought about getting one for seven years before I got it and I still like it. When my commanding officer saw it, he gave me a "ration of shit" and then showed me his bull dog (also on his left shoulder).

My personal belief is that the tattoo should have meaning. And before you get a tattoo, you should think about it for a year. If the design and location hasn't changed in that year, then you are probably going to like it.

There are people who are so attractive that people DO look at them. It doesn’t mean that it’s always lust.

And lead us not into temptation

This behavior goes on in ALL denominations. That's why we are admonished to look at their fruit and not what they claim. Most so called mainline denominations are the most liberal when it comes to abortion, fornication, homosexuality, ect. I would say the Evangelicals are the most conservative. You can, however read about the preacher running away with the piano player in almost any berg in the US. The priests sodomizing alter boys and Methodists marrying gays, is all in the mix today. I know many of the so called "rock player" churches that have some of the most wonderful Christians I've ever met. There is wheat and tares, goats and sheep in almost every church I've ever seen. A person that claims Christ and continues as a "sex symbol" is just lying. She hasn't met Jesus and He doesn't know her. Anyone can claim anything.

Oh, and PS.

The verse that says we are not to judge means we are not to judge someones SALVATION. We are commanded, however, to judge SIN. I can't know if you will repent and turn from your wicked ways until you die, however, I can tell anyone that fornicators and lairs, thieves, murderer's, ect, will not see the Kingdom of God. If you repent before you die, you are washed as clean as Jesus and your sins are no longer yours. If I said you are going to Hell, I would have judged you wrongly. Sin is still sin however.

Much in contrast to old time holiness Pentecostalism, in which long modest skirts and hair are what is seen, in glorifying God.

Another crazy person with ink.....why I'm so crazy I have the fallen warrior (kneeling Marine, planted barrel, boots, and dog tags) tattooed on my arm. What nut ball would want to prove they are crazy by displaying such remembrance of the better than 40 fallen warriors?

Absolutely certifiable that I have a portion of the prayer I say every time leaving the wire tattooed as well. Completely insane I'd want those words inscribed on my flesh as a constant reminder of God's protection and forgiveness.

Secret Vatican Albino Assassin Monks brainwashed the ‘sex symbol’ into both speaking in tongues and being a ‘sex symbol’ at the same time. They got her name from the Vatican supercomputer that has all the Protestant names and locations. If you play her fake glossolalia backwards you hear backwards latin worshipping the devil. Yes, it’s a DOUBLE backwards satanic message. Who else but Rome has the resources to pull of such diabolical schemes?!

Sinners abound everywhere. The true Church teaches true doctrine. So many churches’ congregants say, “I believe in Jesus.” But what do they believe about him? Do they listen to his words?

It’s so funny to hear people say the Catholic Church has non-biblical teachings because they disagree with the Catholic Church’s interpretation of scripture, while the Protestant churches cannot agree on the most basic moral doctrines. Of course, Protestants and Catholics alike will believe the bible teaches them whatever it is they wish to cling to; the advantage offered by Catholicism is that Catholics know that they dissent from their church when they support abortion, divorce, masturbation, pornography, or premarital sex.

“If you believe in me, you will keep my commandments.”

“And he received the gold from their hand, and he fashioned it with an engraving tool, and made a molded calf. Then they said, ‘This is your god, O Israel, that brought you out of the land of Egypt!’ So when Aaron saw it, he built an altar before it. And Aaron made a proclamation and said, ‘Tomorrow is a feast to the LORD. Then they rose early on the next day, offered burnt offerings, and brought peace offerings; and the people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.” (Exodus 32:4-6)

There is nothing new under the sun, even - or especially! - in the realm of religion. On this note, let’s all be sure everyone points the finger at something other than his own denomination and its own failings. Let’s also make sure that we dismiss whatever God in His word clearly says about what we are to believe and do as worship in His presence and then adamantly defend the customs and preferences of our own denomination as if we couldn’t possibly be in any need of introspection and repentance in the light of God’s word. This excerpt from the Scriptures couldn’t possibly be intended for our admonition on whom the ends of the ages have come. Nope. Nothing to see here. Move on. Move on.

Well see, the tattoo made you crazy. So obviously you wouldn’t know you’rr crazy. If you knew you were crazy, then you wouldn’t be crazy and so your tattoo would not be there cuZ that’d be crazy.

Simple logic! ;)

A problem with CM can be really bad doctrines about such things as each person becoming their own Christ. At the heart of the movement and their leaders, if you delve into it, you will often find really, really bad doctrine.

Catholics alike will believe the bible teaches them whatever it is they wish to cling to; the advantage offered by Catholicism is that Catholics know that they dissent from their church when they support abortion, divorce, masturbation, pornography, or premarital sex.

Don't you think that rules that are not enforced are a mockery? I see the Catholic Church having some good rules, but I don't see any consequences for breaking them. On another thread a mother who died during a late term abortion is buried with a Catholic ceremony with her child that she murdered. If she had repented then that information should be made public so as to let the world know that she wasn't given a Catholic burial with her murdered baby without repentance. The Catholic Church lets sins abound in their Congress people without any kind of chastisement. These people who support abortion, sodomy and many other sins with their votes and support tell the whole world that it is OK to do the things they do because they still get communion and are not excommunicated. The list of people who do public sins without any kind of reprimands from the CC goes on and on and on. Catholic Priests who committed sodomy on children were protected and even passed onto other unsuspecting Churches by the authorities. Catholic Universities teach and put up with all kinds of terrible things. Catholic University Notre Dame invites obama to speak. Georgetown University invites obama, who is abominable as far as morality is concerned, to speak to their young and impressionable students, and cover up Christ's Name just because he requests for them to do so. This is unfathomable to me.

It is easy to talk the talk, but I see a whole lot of not walking the walk. The Catholic Church can have it both ways. They have a double message. For those who are moral they talk about morality, but for those who are vastly immoral they are included nicely also. You feel good about your Church because you are a moral person and like to hear the good talk. Well people like Nancy Pelosi, Ted Kennedy and John Kerry and many, many other sinful people feel fine and good about being Catholics too. Without discipline they also feel like everything with thier spirituality is OK. Have you ever really looked at that? They will without repentance go to hell forever, and they have never been made to see that what they are doing is terribly wrong.

The Pope, according to CC doctrine, has the sole responsibility over discipline in the CC. The buck is suppose to stop with him. To give speeches all about what morality is suppose to be is easy, the hard part is backing it up with actions. I see speeches from some CC leaders, but not that much action as far as discipline. This causes the world to not understand how terribly wrong sin is. It is a grievous failure on the part of the CC.

I am not saying that many other Churches are doing better, but it is not a reason to think that the CC excels. I am not out to bash the CC, but sincerely wish and long for it to follow the morality that it often can speak about with glowing words. I honestly grieve because the CC lets so much sin go on and doesn't deal with it. It is very harmful for the whole world. If the CC would start actually disciplining it's grievous sinners then many people in the world could have a chance at believing that morality is important, and just might have a better understanding of their own need of repentance.

Their are Catholic Priests and also a good amount of lay people that really care about morality. You will see them at abortion clinics reaching out to mothers, trying to help them stop from murdering their babies. I just wish that the leadership was half a diligent as many lay Catholics are in their fight against evil.
