My prayers today included healing and well being for our Pope. I also said prayers for all Catholics. May the Catholic Church remain strong during this trying time.

I will be walking in the desert these 40 days with Our Lord, and also with His most faithful vicar, Pope Benedict.

Lord Jesus, grant health and long years of happy retirement for Thy servant Benedict, shine Thy face on him and be with him forever.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, in the company of St. Peter and all Holy Apostles, amen.

I’m no Vatican insider, or close “Pope-watcher,” but from what I have read, Benedict XVI has been a very good steward of the Church. Seems to be a strong Christian. Sorry to see him step down. Hope the next pontiff will be as clear and strong at teaching traditional Catholic doctrine and upholding the faith.
