No this is not a good man who fell , this is a con artist that got in and no one kicked him out when they should have at the first sign . Fact is that this con artist brought in lots of money to the church so they ignored that he was a problem from the beginning . Oh and they still have not kicked him out they just hid him away from the public.
Father Maciel was extremely charismatic, every institution has had somebody like him. Despite media lies, Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger was one of the few who rebuffed Maciel. Maciel died in 2008! Yes, he hurt many faith filled people. He was a monster. Why does the media endlessly recycle old news stories. Why are Catholics the acceptable whipping boys, of liberal princes?
