We need to get the Bible revelation of communion, because it is not just drinking some juice and eating a cracker it is far more than that. But, through tradition you can make the word of God of no effect (Matthew 15:6). Communion is a powerful means of receiving healing. Notice what Jesus said, "Take eat; this is my body" and "This is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many." Jesus said that was his blood and in Leviticus 17 God established that the life of the flesh is in the blood, it is the life of the flesh. So as you take in that drink you are taking in the very life that was in Jesus. And what sickness can stand against the life in the blood of Jesus. It is like when you take in food in the natural, your body absorbs the nutrients that are in that food. So likewise, when you take in that drink your body can absorb the life that is in the blood of Jesus. The blood is a means of transferring the life that was in Jesus to you. Notice what Paul said in 2Corinthians 4:10, "Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body." It is his death(blood) that make his life able to be manifested in our body. Get a revelation of the blood of Jesus.
Put your faith in the blood of Jesus like people in the Bible put their faith in the anointing on his garment. They had faith that if they touched the hem of his garment they would be healed, not even him but his garment. And yet, we have some of him, some of heaven has come to us. Do you remember when God pronounced that the first born of Egypt would die and he told the children of Isreal to put the blood of a lamb on the doorposts of there homes and by the blood being on the doorposts of their homes that plague would not come near them. Notice God said that was a token, it was a shadow of when the lamb of God would shed his blood. What is a shadow it's a representation of something, God was showing what the blood of Jesus would do when it was shed. God said by the blood on their homes that plague would not come near them. We have the real thing, if lambs blood did that then how much more will the blood of the lamb of God do now. When you go to the doctor one of the first things they do is draw blood because they want to see what is in it. Can you imagine the healing, anointing, and life that is in the blood of Jesus. That is what you are taking in. Imagine the blood of Jesus flowing throw you eating up any sickness in you like when the rod of Moses became a snake and Pharoahs magicians threw down there rods and they became snakes, but Moses rod that was turned into a snake ate the magicians rods that was turned into snakes. Notice what the Bible says about Jesus, "And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse", Jesus the rod. Everytime you take in that drink you should say, "The life of God is manifesting in my body" or"By his stripes I am healed." Notice in Revelation 12:11 it says, we overcome by the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony. Get a revelation of the blood and put your faith in it.

“Unless you eat my Body and drink my Blood, you shall not have life within you.” John
Yes, that revelation of the blood of Jesus is that we are healed SPIRITUALLY when we place our faith in Jesus Christ. We have been redeemed by his blood which was shed for the propitiation of our sins.
For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul. (Leviticus 17:11)
We can place our complete faith in the truth that, though it is not always God's will for us to be physically healed, our spiritual healing is already complete and we are assured:
But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. (Ephesians 2:4-7)
Thank you To Hell With Poverty for taking the time to read this article. And where can I find that.
Thank you Salvation for taking the time to read this article. Thanks!
Thank you Chuckles for reading this article.
Thank you boatbums for reading this article, but I say it is God’s will that we be physically healed. Jesus died for our physical healing, according to Galatians 3:13,14 Jesus died to redeem us from the curse which includes sickness. So why would Jesus die for you to have something, but don’t want you to have it.
If "physical" healing was in the atonement, then explain why it doesn't happen when people come to saving faith in Jesus Christ. Explain why EVERY single believer WILL die unless he is still alive when Jesus comes back at the Rapture. Explain why Paul, himself, was not physically healed when he beseeched the Lord repeatedly for it. Galatians 3:13,14 says:
Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree. He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.
What is this "blessing"? Paul explains it as:
You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. If you belong to Christ, then you are Abrahams seed, and heirs according to the promise. (Galatians 3:26-19)
Jesus died so that we could be redeemed from the curse that brought eternal death (separation from God) and, through faith in Him, we have eternal LIFE. Does God sometimes heal? Certainly! Jesus did so to demonstrate His authority and deity. The Apostles did to demonstrate their Holy Spirit granted gift of healing and authority so that souls would come to saving faith in Jesus Christ. But physical healing is NOT a guarantee to those who are believers, else EVERYONE would follow Christ so that they would never have infirmities or want for anything. Yet, God is glorified when we put our faith in Him EVEN WHEN we face adversity. Adversity strengthens our faith. It teaches us to trust in Christ no matter what he allows into our lives.
I understand the argument that "by his stripes we are healed" means physical healing, but even when Isaiah wrote this under inspiration of the Holy Spirit, it was understood as a SPIRITUAL healing.
God gave instructions for healing in James. So I've been anointed by elders in my churches time without count for healing of an immune disorder I have that causes food reactions.
I've been asking for healing for this for decades.
If it's God's will for me to be healed and I obeyed by following Scriptural command for how to avail myself of it, then why hasn't He done it?
And not all healing IS physical. There is emotional, mental, and spiritual healing as well.
We don't always get what we demand of God either.
Hebrews 11:32-40 32 And what more shall I say? For time would fail me to tell of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, of David and Samuel and the prophets 33 who through faith conquered kingdoms, enforced justice, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, 34 quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, were made strong out of weakness, became mighty in war, put foreign armies to flight.
35 Women received back their dead by resurrection. Some were tortured, refusing to accept release, so that they might rise again to a better life. 36 Others suffered mocking and flogging, and even chains and imprisonment. 37 They were stoned, they were sawn in two, they were killed with the sword. They went about in skins of sheep and goats, destitute, afflicted, mistreated 38 of whom the world was not worthywandering about in deserts and mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth.
39 And all these, though commended through their faith, did not receive what was promised, 40 since God had provided something better for us, that apart from us they should not be made perfect.
The blood is not for healing.
The stripes are for healing.
The blood is for atonement and forgiveness of sins. Without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness of sins.
some fun rock band churches don’t even celebrate communion
I also followed the "formula" in James and my pastor along with an elder anointed me with oil and prayed for my healing from a severe ruptured disk in my lower back that had been causing excruciating sciatic pain for more than four months. I was not healed from it and had to have the first of what would be four surgeries on my back over the next ten years. Even after those operations, I am not healed. It was not for lack of faith, desire, righteousness of the ones doing the praying or any other hindrance that sometimes gets thrown out when healing doesn't happen for believers.
My experience as well as those whom I know have helped me to understand that there is NOT a guarantee that becoming a Christian necessarily means physical healing is a given. I understand that, as Paul did, that through our weaknesses, HE is glorified. HIS strength is made perfect in my weakness. The only way that makes sense is by seeing that we CAN, through our physical suffering, bring greater glory to God. It is because the lost see that our faith is not lessened when we are not relieved of our affliction but enhanced. It is stronger, not weaker, and that goes against what the world expects. Like Job's faithless wife, they say, "Why don't you just curse God and die?". THAT'S what is expected. But when we are able, through the strength of Christ, to STILL honor, trust and obey God, HIS sufficiency is made manifest. All I need is Christ!
I think some Christians are too shortsighted by expecting our Heavenly Father to answer our every need or want, because REAL faith - MATURE faith - is still there in the midst of the trouble. STILL trusting, STILL accepting that whatever God allows into our lives is for our good. I desire that far more than I do relief of bodily pain. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because Gods love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. (Romans 5:2-5)
boatbums, A person can have faith to be saved and yet not have faith to be healed. The things of God are not automatic, but by faith. And whether healed or sick we are all going to die, you don’t have to be sick to die. And Paul says it was a messenger of satan, a evil spirit that he already had authority over. And if you look at Deuteronomy 28:59-61 he lists part of the curse which is physical diseases so if the diseases are physical then the healing is physical. Thanks!
