When push comes to shove, MO will usually let you down.
Truly we live in an alternate universe! The fabric of time has been altered, electrons, neutrons, subatomic particles are going backwards! Even the Higgs Boson doesn’t even give a Crap anymore.
Let’s not forget the Chinese Lunar holidays as well.
I would love to see some talented, dedicated college students take up this cause. Do some real research, and find various “religious” movements that espouse variants on this theme on even more days. Find one that says you cannot engage in any activity until three hours after sunrise or something like that.
Take the leftist tripe and stuff it back in their mouths until they choke on it.
No tests on Christmas, Easter or other major Christian Holidays; because the college is ran off of the tax dollars of Christians - but, the college is also ran off of the taxes of the Jewish, Hindu, Wiccan, Buddhist and Islamic faiths.
Why do Christians deserve greater accommodations than anyone else? At the very least, the Jewish, Hindu, Wiccan and Buddhists aren’t trying to kill anyone who disagrees with them.
As this is a State College - the rules it must abide follow the taxpayers of the state. If this were a Christian, Jewish, Buddhist, Wiccan, Hindu or Islamic private college - it would be a different story.
Defund them now.
Not another taxpayer dollar to these morally defunct institutions of lower learning.
can’t you just picture these scholarly acedemic types sitting at their meeting and coming up with nonsense like this?????pathetic!!
If There are at least 1%, that can be considered. Less, then it's just silly
Looking at the guide itself, this seems to be much ado about nothing. It’s really just a list of holidays observed by different faiths with the dates of each holiday in upcoming years, a general description of each holiday (including whether adherents are permitted to work on said holiday), and recommended accomodations for some of the holidays (for example, not schedulimg tests/major assignments on certain Jewish holidays on which work is prohibited). None of the Pagan/Wiccan holidays have any recommended accommodations - the authors of this article seem to have simply made up the “no tests on Pagan/Wiccan holidays” nonsense.
Though through the “magic” of Wicca, why would they even need to study at all?
