Nun Implicated in Voter Fraud

A nun has been implicated by prosecutors in a troubling case of election fraud, according to local news reports.

It's been alleged by Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters that Sister Marge Kloos of the Sisters of Charity mailed in an absentee ballot of Sister Rose Marie Hewitt who had reportedly passed away on October 4th of last year.

Deters sent a letter to the Board of Elections that said:

Re: Deceased Voter Rose Marie Hewitt.

Please be advised that sufficient information has been developed with respect to the above mentioned matter to determine that there is probable cause to believe that criminal activity has occurred.
Hewitt had reportedly lived with Sister Marge Kloos, the dean of arts at the College of Mount Saint Joseph. Prosecutor Joe Deters told WCPO that Kloos is being investigated as the person who sent in Hewitt’s ballot.

Sisters of Charity president Sister Joan Cook told reporters that they are cooperating with police.

Sister Marge Kloos has shown strong position on politics in the past. In fact in 2011, Sister Marge Kloos signed a letter reprimanding House Speaker John Boehner for siding with the "reckless" Tea Party. The letter read:
This is a stark choice between responsible leadership that serves the common good and narrow ideology that makes tax cuts for the wealthy our most sacred national priority. As Ohio Catholics, we urge you to reject the reckless path urged by many Tea Party leaders in Congress. Now is the time to seek a compromise that reflects the Catholic values of solidarity with the most vulnerable and prudential judgment.

She was also quoted in 2000 in The Cincinatti Enquirer talking about a woman being elected bishop of the African Methodist Episcopal Church. The story said:
"The possibility of electing a female bishop “gives women of other denominations, including the Catholic tradition, a great deal of confidence and hope that the various denominations are beginning to recognize the leadership skills of women,” said Sister Marge Kloos, a professor of religious and pastoral studies at the College of Mount St. Joseph.
CMR will keep you informed with updates on this story.

She leans way left, but she's a bad Catholic. These LCWR - "Leadership Council of Women Religious" but more like "Liberal Crazy Women Religious" - are a thorn in the side of orthodox Catholics.

The liberal feminists hijacked a number of religious orders and are not a credit to their sex or their purported religion (their actual religion is a compound of radical politics, goddess-worship, and New Age nonsense).

The Vatican has been trying to clean house, but they run to the media and use Alinsky methods to intimidate bishops. Benedict XVI has done more good than most to straighten these poor deluded women out.

Most orthodox Catholics wish they would just man up already and join the Episcopalians, but they don't want to do that because their antics would go unnoticed there.

Typical unfaithful spouse, cheating for her NEW Love, the NEW Messiah.. This is a single nun, not the entire religious order.. I’m sure their are a lot more, and we will be fed each one with headlines..

Two percent of all people are mentally troubled, without discrimination, the left will do anything in it’s power to destroy our faith.. Look around folks, we are being played like a fiddle..

I’m a poor example, I am a lax Catholic because I’m lazy, since my kids are grown, but I have not lost my faith, nor should you...

Fair question.

According to an earlier news story at cincinatti.com, "Although her death occurred before absentee ballots had been mailed to voters throughout Hamilton County, a completed ballot was returned to the elections board in Hewitt’s name."

So she was dead before the ballot got to her "friend".

This one stinks.

“Catholics lean way left...”

Not all of them!

I have many relatives that have lived on Long Island, NY their entire lives, have been Catholic their entire lives, and the majority of them voted for Romney.

Not all nuns are left-wing nut jobs like the “sisters” mentioned in this story, either. These radical nuns should be given the boot.

The Democratic Party strongly supports full civil rights for Necro-Americans. Why should a citizen be deprived of the franchise merely because she/he is respirationally challenged.

Exactly. What fun is it being radical when there are no orthodox to piss off?

Reminds me of a joke from Cheech and Chong’s movie, ‘Up in Smoke’.

I remember going to help when my father died and asked one these types of sisters for help at the parish. My mother was invalid stuck in the bed. I did not like her manner. She gave me a happy wishing book. Nothing to do with God. The Indian priest from a third world country was truly anointed he would come to help. Give my mother communion. I tell these religious from the poorer countries are the real anointed. None of the kooky trappings of an American wishy washy nuns.

If I were a Democrat DA and wanted to cover up real voter fraud involving large numbers of votes. Not just one vote like this case. I could point to this case and say I am going after voter fraud. I could get people focused on gnats while the camels are stampeding.

If the person filled out the ballot before she died I would let her vote. If someone else filled it out for her then it is fraud. I am sure there are hundreds of people each major election who vote by mail and die before election day.

Dunno . . . but that's the way to bet.

One of these "sisters" was actually working as an escort for an abortion clinic.

When it was publicized, and only then, her order announced that she had been disciplined, but they weren't really happy about having to do it. Her prioress was supporting her up until the photo of her in her 'abortion escort' apron went viral.

She's a Sinsinawa Dominican - I understand they are among the craziest of these crazy sisters-in-name-only.

Catholics lean way Left....She must have got an “Indulgence” from the Vatican.

Horse Hockey. You obviously know nothing about what the Church actually teaches.

ok I do see the problem, but was there advance voting in that state and to have voted in the fraud of the “election” that took place do you have to be alive on election day? I personally believe that advance voting should be illegal, but, since it was “legal” this “election” how does date of death fit in to this scenario? Did the nun complete the ballot herself and then croak and the Mother Superior mailed it in? This is messier than meets the eye in that case.

If, however, the nun had croaked and then the Mother Superior or whatever she is, completed the ballot and mailed it in, that is wrong.
