The Holy Sacrifice of The Mass

There was ONE sacrifice - and that is JESUS.

divine instruction given to Peter,

What was given to Peter was a revelation by God who Jesus is. And on that rock, who Jesus is, Jesus built His church which is based on HIS WORDS/Truth.

to teach one faith

You don't teach faith, it's God-given. Supernatural faith is of God. You use it to understand/believe Jesus The Word by that faith. Man made teachings aren't inspired by the Holy Spirit as they are worldly so students/followers of Rome don't use/need supernatural faith thus they don't learn The Truth, The Way, The Life.

I guess by your lights the Great Commission given by Christ to St. Peter and his successors to go forth and teach all nations was simply a useless instruction. How do people who are illiterate learn unless they are taught? This is why we have ONE Church and ONE truth not the nonsense taught by Re. Wright, Rev. David Koresh, Rev. Jackson and the jackassses like the Joel Osteens of this world who instruct a false prosperity Gospel. Faith and reason go together. Muslims and Hindus too have faith but not backed by reason and the words of the Gospel. It was the first Church Fathers who sorted out the books of the Bible. They did not fall from the skies. What was given to Peter were the keys to the kingdom of Heaven by teaching the truth, the one truth as handed down by scripture, its meanings, tradition, and revelation. In this way we avoid a Tower of Babel with thousands of “Christian” sects and where each person claims for himself/herself the “truth” as discerned by that person.
