New Pope Francis called homosexual ‘marriage’ a ‘machination of the Father of Lies’

Cardinal Jorge Bergoglio, now Pope Francis, is known to LifeSiteNews readers as a valiant defender of life and family.

In terms of homosexual ‘marriage’, Cardinal Bergoglio fought valiantly to have the law in Argentina continue to protect the traditional family.

In July 2009, he called on the priests of the Archdiocese of Buenos Aires to bring the faithful to an upcoming protest against homosexual "marriage."

"Let's not be naive, we're not talking about a simple political battle; it is a destructive pretension against the plan of God," wrote Cardinal Bergoglio in a letter sent to the monasteries of Buenos Aires. "We are not talking about a mere bill, but rather a machination of the Father of Lies that seeks to confuse and deceive the children of God."

To the clergy of the parishes, Bergoglio requested that all of them read from the pulpits a declaration defending the true definition and understanding of marriage.

"The Argentinean people will have to confront, in the coming weeks, a situation whose result could gravely injure the family. We are speaking of a bill regarding marriage between people of the same sex," a bill that calls into question "the identity, and the survival of the family: father, mother, and children."

The latter, warns Bergoglio, might also be threatened by homosexual adoption, which would be a true form of discrimination.

The country now needs "the special assistance of the Holy Spirit, to place the light of truth in the middle of the darkness of error, to defend us against the enchantment of so many sophistries with which they seek to justify this bill," he wrote.

At the same time, in a story that is being much-repeated today, Pope Francis demonstrated his compassion when he visited a hospice on Holy Thursday where he kissed and washed the feet of 12 patients suffering from AIDS, a disease that is often associated with homosexuality.

YAAAAAAYYYYYY!

From Wikipedia:

He has affirmed church teaching on homosexuality, though he teaches the importance of respecting individuals who are homosexual. He strongly opposed legislation introduced in 2010 by the Argentine Government to allow same-sex marriage, calling it a "real and dire anthropological throwback".

In a letter to the monasteries of Buenos Aires, he wrote: "Let's not be naive, we're not talking about a simple political battle; it is a destructive pretension against the plan of God. We are not talking about a mere bill, but rather a machination of the Father of Lies that seeks to confuse and deceive the children of God." He has also insisted that adoption by homosexuals is a form of discrimination against children. This position received a rebuke from Argentine president Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, who said the church's tone was reminiscent of "medieval times and the Inquisition".

I hope Francis is too.

I'm not Catholic, and have never paid much attention to the Pope, but I like this guy. Not afraid to speak like the truth.

He just unfriended 95% of the Democrat Party leadership, 85% of the media, half of the Federal Government, 27% of public school teachers and about 1% of the public from his Facebook account.

If he thinks anything like St. Thomas Aquinas-—the Father of Catholic Theology and who G.K. Chesterton calls the Father of Common Sense......you will love him—as I.

“Reason and Faith” was united by St. Thomas—with Natural Law (Common Sense by St. Thomas. (Postmodernists/Marxists are irrational—they throw out the Laws of Nature and force radical egalitarianism which destroys all differences in man-—including male and female. It is evil and dehumanizing.)

Thomism was largely thrown out with Vatican II because of the Progressives/Marxists who infiltrated-—Bella Dodd writes about the infiltration of Marxist Homomafia-—as does the Polish Fr. Oko. Google his report sometime. It is an eye-opener.

This Pope—if he is not an Anti-pope-—will clean out the Filth that has infiltrated the Catholic Church and damaged it to such a high degree-—as Fr. Oko writes about. There is much intrigue and an internal war going on inside the Catholic Church right now for its very soul. It will be a while before we can access who wins.

do I detect the early stages of apoplexy among the lefties and pro-gay “marriage” bunch? Good. That’s what they need: more exercise. An idle mind is the devil’s workshop, and an idle body gets into all KINDS of kinky mischief. Hope they have a cow, man.

I’m not catholic- but good for you pope- thats’ exactly what it is- Now stand your ground- you’re abotu to face tremendous pressure to ‘progress towards acceptance’ (which of course means rejecting what God says, and acceptign what ‘semi-omniscient man’ now says)-

“”We are not talking about a mere bill, but rather a machination of the Father of Lies that seeks to confuse and deceive the children of God.””

He even mentions Lucifer (and his followers - at least by implication)!!! heh

There was something about his silent stance when he was on the balcony that conveyed a sense of strength and a humbleness one can only get from being truly holy - reminds me of Mother Theresa. I’ve read that he’s a friend of Pope Benedicts which elevates him even more from my perspective.

Maybe the public is nowhere near as stupid as is the Democratic Party, the mainstream media, the bureaucrats of the Federal Government, and the public school teachers.

The hope of St. Paul is with us yet.
