Pray for our American Heroes

Dear Father, we thank You for Your countless blessings, and we seek Your presence, in Jesus' Name.

Lord, we pray today for all our troops who far away from home, asking You to be with them in body and soul. And Father, please comfort the families who wait.

Lord, we have all regarded things or people as hopeless, but there is no limit to Your ability to redeem and save, to change and renew. We ask You to make Your grace flower in the unlikeliest of fields.

LORD, You have done marvelous things; Your right hand and Your holy arm have worked salvation for You. From the blazing star to the stilled sea, from the Cross of Golgotha to the empty tomb in the garden, You have made Your salvation known and revealed Your righteousness to the nations. You have remembered Your love and faithfulness to the house of Israel, and all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God. We will sing to You a new song, for You have given us reason to sing, and have multiplied Your wonders and the mercies of Your love. We pray to You in the Name of Jesus, who is our righteousness and our peace, Amen.

May SALVATION’S call be received in each soul who has ears to hear. In the coldest and darkest days of the American Revolution, General George Washington raised his prayers for the survival of his beleaguered Army and of the new Nation. The Lord answered those prayers, upheld his Army through a punishing nadir to everlasting glory and bestowed His manifold benefits upon the new Nation.

In like manner, let our prayers now rise lie a fountain for our Heroes in the American Armed Forces who seek to secure the benefits of Freedom on behalf of a people hungry for them. Father, look on our prayers for them with favor, guide their steps in righteousness and envelop them in the shelter of Your Healing Wings. Bless and uphold them in the performance of their Mission. Through Jesus Christ, Your Son, with the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever, Amen.

Heavenly Father, Lord of the Nations, unto Your Divine Mercy we commend the souls of these brave men and women who have fallen in the service of our Beloved Nation and in defense of the Freedoms we hold dear.
