Matthew 5:3-10

Blessed are the Poor in Spirit: for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.

Blessed are they that Mourn: for they shall be Comforted.

Blessed are the Meek: for they shall Inherit the Earth.

Blessed are they which do Hunger and Thirst after Righteousness: for they shall be Filled.

Blessed are the Merciful: for they shall Obtain Mercy.

Blessed are the Pure in Heart: for they shall See God.

Blessed are the Peacemakers: for they shall be Called the Children of God.

Blessed are they which are Persecuted for Righteousness' Sake:
For theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.

Our Loving Father,

'Sing to God, O Kingdoms of the Earth, Sing Praises to the Lord! Selah. Sing Praises to Him Who Rides upon the Heavens, the Ancient Heavens; behold, He Sends Forth His Voice, His Mighty Voice. Ascribe Power and Strength to God; His Majesty is over Israel, and His Strength and Might are in the Skies. O God, Awe-Inspiring, Profoundly Impressive, and Terrible are You out of Your Holy Places; the God of Israel Himself Gives Strength and Fullness of Might to His People. Blessed be God!' (Ps.68:33-35)

Our Gracious Savior, May Your Hand of Blessing Abide Daily over our Troops. May Every Man be Hedged Round About, Lord, with Your Grace. May You Place Great and Awesome Victories into their Hands. May Every Man's Heart be Devoted to Heaven's King. For our Men we Pray Matthew 5:3-10, 'Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.'

Your Majesty, we Ask for a Spiritual Renewal of our Sinful Land. May Thy Spirit Send Mercies, and Grant Salvation to Many Men. Please Forgive our Iniquities, and Grant us Faith in Jesus Christ. Please Turn us from our Idols, Loving Lord; May America Cling to Christ, and Worship and Praise Him Alone.

Thank You, our Abba, for Hearing and Answering our Prayers. In Jesus' Name, for the Glory and Praise of the King, amen.

Who Owns My Lips?

March 17, 2013

The difference between a compliment and flattery is often motive. A compliment offers genuine appreciation for a quality or action seen in another person. The goal of flattery is usually self-advancement through gaining the favor of someone else. Compliments seek to encourage; flattery attempts to manipulate.

In Psalm 12, David lamented his society in which godly, faithful people had disappeared and been replaced by those who speak deceitfully “with flattering lips and a double heart” (v.2). They had said, “With our tongue we will prevail; our lips are our own; who is lord over us?” (v.4).

The question “Who owns my lips?” is a good one to ask ourselves when we’re tempted to use insincere praise to get what we want. If my lips are my own, I can say what I please. But if the Lord owns my lips, then my speech will mirror His words, which the psalmist described as “pure words, like silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times” (v.6).

Perhaps a good way to show who owns our lips would be to begin each day with David’s prayer from another psalm: “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer” (Ps. 19:14).

A careless word may kindle strife,
A cruel word may wreck a life;
A timely word may lessen stress,
A loving word may heal and bless. —Anon.
He who guards his mouth preserves his life. —Proverbs 13:3

Blessed are the Peacemakers, for they shall be called the Children of God....OH LORD, to be known, to be called, to be loved as one of YOUR CHILDREN is a blessing beyond our words, is a joy beyond compare, is a honor beyond our greatest expectations. OH FATHER, thank YOU that we can call YOU that with depth and truth for we who belong to JESUS belong to YOU..Amen. OH LORD, YOU are the Prince of Peace and as such, it behooves us to be Peacemakers, for we are created in YOUR IMAGE. I know many soldiers get hyped for the battle, many soldiers feel a sense of pride in the victory, and I know too that many a heart mourns the life of anyone whose life is taken away in war. Death has no sting for those in CHRIST, but for those who don’t, its eternal damnation transferred from this evil world to the next..what a sobering thought. Dear LORD, I pray for the protection of our military men and women, protection for their hearts, souls, minds and strength, to be vigilant yet merciful if it can be done. I pray for their protection against all evil that will not bow to YOUR MERCY and GRACE and inturn turns its vengeance against the righteous. I pray for the souls of any of our warriors who have not yet found the PEACE of CHRIST to the FATHER in SALVATION..that must be the first marching order...OH LORD GOD..we bow before YOU today in humble thanksgiving and heartfelt love for our kids and all those who are servants to YOU and serve our country...Amen.

Amen..Praying your prayer, Kitty

Almighty and eternal God, Protect our military as they
discharge their duties. Protect them with the shield of your
strength and keep them safe from all evil and harm.

May the power of your love enable them to return home
safely to the people who love them and to the gratitude of
the American people.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
