Why do these nuns still have the right to be in the church? They are apostates.

Remove them.

I remember this when it first came up.

I look it like this...I think what the nuns do is commendable.

But if they don’t uphold the religion that they represent, there is a huge problem. Sounds like they are just taking the funding and the name recognizition. One nun in that segment kept protesting how she was “all about the church” (paraphrase). She maybe, but she doesn’t represent all the tenents.

That being said..if they want to “update” and “modernize” the church, have at it. But start your own church.

(No, I’m not Catholic. I’d feel the same about any other church.)

This is long overdue. They wear no habits, they appear reluctant to speak on issue of abortion and gay marriage, seek changes in Church Magisterium by arguing for women priests, and work as pro-Obama supporters and politicize their agenda by taking a bus tour and castigating Church discipline. They are no different than agency social workers. As Pope Francis has said, the Catholic Church is not some social charitable organization. Time to discipline them by dropping the label “Catholic”to whatever they do.

ARDITH PLATTE, a Catholic nun (from Michigan) is pure evil. I do not understand how she and other feminazi so called nuns are not excommunicated.

I am not Catholic, but did battle with the Sandanista Surrogates the Maryknoll Nuns from Nicaragua when they wer in NM back in the early 1980’s.

They were Commie troublemakers. But odly not all the nuns were like that. One of the locals was a John Bircher, that was a surprise.

My the education you get living out in NM.

Americans nuns were put on notice last year to shape up or they would be shut down. Now that they have a new pope, they are hoping to get that thrown out and get back to business as usual, which means subverting the Church. I would hope Pope Francis continues the reform, because not reforming them will just mean their demise anyway.

Not reforming them may on the other hand spread this virus like a cancer to other Catholic religious denominations.

No offense to my Anglican Brothers and Sisters in Christ - But, if someone must have married clergy, women priests, a liberal attitude toward homosexuality, etc. - leave the the RCC and join the Anglican Church.

To those members of the Anglican Church who reject such things - the doors of the RCC are wide open to welcome you home.

I'm amazed just how many stories there are bashing the new Pope and the Catholic Church for not being "liberal enough".

In contrast to positive stories. It's got to be at least 20:1 against Francis.

On the day he assumed his position our local news spent 1 minute on that story, and then went around interviewing lesbian nuns, and other liberals who don't like him for about 10 minutes.

Not one interviewee was pro-Catholic doctrine.

No offense, but you seem to be thinking of the Protestent Episcopal Church of the US. The Anglican Church of North America, has married clergy, but none of the other doctrines you mention.

The ACNA is an exception the rule that has only 103,000 members, and is NOT a member of the greater Anglican Communion. Most churches that are part of the Anglican Communion (which has an estimated 80 million members worldwide) are liberal and DO uphold the doctrines he mentioned.

I have posted this before in December. I did not mince words and they need to be posted again:

The Leadership Conference of Women Religious is a Communist front operation. We know Communist operatives have infiltrated the Catholic Church and it is through the LCWR that they are doing it. The Vatican also said the nuns had embraced “radical feminist themes incompatible with the Catholic faith.” The Vatican is not happy with the LCWR’S focus on social justice and not promoting the “Biblical view of life and human sexuality.”

The Vatican has sent Archbishop Peter Sartain of Seattle to head a group of Catholic bishops to reign in the LCWR. So far, the dialog has been progressing but the LCWR remains resistant to the Vatican. I see the LCWR working to undermine the teachings of the Catholic Church and ultimately to destroy the Catholic Church in America.

"I'm amazed just how many stories there are bashing the new Pope and the Catholic Church . . . "

The democrat fascist party is openly at war with the Catholic Church, so their propaganda arm is as well.

It's no accident that King Barry is sending insulting taunts personified to see the new Pope. What else can you call Biden and Pelosi who have both very publicly stated that they do not abide by Church teaching but decide what they believe is right and wrong for themselves exactly the same way Hus and Luther did? If sending them isn't a deliberate insult and throwing down of the gauntlet, what would be?

If they are permitted to take communion, the the propaganda machine will roll out garbage about how the HHS mandate is no big deal if someoe who has excommunicated them self isn't a big enough deal for the Church to follow Canon Law.

If they're refused, the propaganda machine will roll out garbage like, "just who does the Pope think he is" for abiding by Canon Law which they will characterize as being an attempt to use religion to influence American politics.

What the media have been dishing out so far is nothing. There will be plenty of attacks on and slanders of any and all Christians who try to live according to what Christ taught, not just the traditional democrat stirring up of anti-Catholic sentiment. Chick-Fil-A and Hobby Lobby tick them off and they won't spare those who irritate them this time around and stick to just slandering the Catholic Church to divide and conquer Christians.

They're going for the whole ball of wax this time to basically gut the First Amendment and replace Freedom of Religion with Freedom to Fornicate without consequences and everyone who is Christian and tries to live like a Christian has to be slandered right along with the Catholic Church. They read the Bible, too, and they know just how well putting whorehouses on the borders of Israel worked to tempt the Jews away from their faith.

Things may get interesting as Spring brings good mob violence and Police raid weather to Mid-West and North East.

“Things may get interesting as Spring brings good mob violence and Police raid weather to Mid-West and North East.”

Why is that part brought up? It could very well be a peaceful and warm spring.

My aunt was a nun for 60 years and a communist. Told us all that what we worked so hard for should be sold and given to the poor.

My dad in his wisdom (and when she had left the room) said she should "get a job".

P.S. My father supported her when she was a young girl just before WWII. She refused to get a job. Finally, she went into the convent and my dad paid for that, too.
