3. Catholics want the pope to end the long-standing practice of mandatory celibacy for their clergy.

4. Catholics want the pope to end the Church's official opposition to birth control.

5. Catholics want the pope to hold high the sanctity of life but stop trying to legislate a woman's right to abortion.

6. Catholics want the pope to change the Church's official position of opposition to homosexuality, gay and lesbian couples, and same-sex marriage.

Never gonna happen.

I think the Catholic position and the Orthodox position and the general Protestant position on the marriage of their ministers are ALL entirely biblical.

So, if the Catholics want a celibate clergy, so that person will have no distractions and can focus entirely on the church, then they are within the bounds of scripture to want to do it that way.

Orthodox, of course, have it both ways. Before ordination, a man must decide on the married or the celibate route. Only the celibate priests are eligible to the episcopacy, iirc.

The three legged stool is what I want; Scripture, Tradition, Magisterium.

I don’t want a crucifix covered with a Soviet flag under ‘social justice’. If you don’t care about life, how could you care about the poor or anything else.

There are Christians being slaughtered all over the world, yet silence.

It’s an evil generation brothers and sisters.

God forgive me scandal...

May the Holy Spirit kick in as usual. I can’t abide false humility and compassion. If there is no obedience I grow wary. Regardless the reason... love for the people, the poor or considering yourself just a bishop of a region and acting accordingly. As someone who has witnessed today’s version of the rebellions of Cain, Korah and Balaam many times, many want to do their thing instead of what the Lord calls them to. I pray this is not the case.

I don’t know if you noticed the huge Communion and Liberation banner across the colonnade columns before the conclave. It really had me heated. It was so... campaign.

I don’t know our Holy Father and know scant re: philosophy of Communion and Liberation (only the original thought behind it, can’t speak for what it is now unless I talk to those in C&L here more). I pray for all as always.

I’ve heard many things from those who live in Argentina and know, but I wasn’t there and I don’t know... so it’s something else to pray about. Time and the Holy Spirit will tell.

Not meant to insult anyone, just where I am right now.

The Church has always been under attack. You can’t be sheep without wolves.

If there are C&L out there, mail me and fill me in on the movement and where it is now.

As Jesus said to the woman taken in adultery - ‘Go and sin no more’. He didn’t say sodomy, abortion, fornication, birth control, whatever, are sins no more.
