Pray for Our American Heroes and Country

They train hard, they live hard, they work hard, and this is to keep us safe and free. OH LORD, the greatest act of service this world ever beheld and the universe ever audienced was how YOU laid aside YOUR MIGHTY POWER and humbled YOURSELF and took on the form of man, and died, not for YOURSELF but for us in complete and abandoned sacrifice. OH that the world would give YOU the HONOR as we give our fallen heroes. But there again, GLORY BELONGS TO YOU, it need not be given to YOU. Bless thank YOU for the service of the fallen, we pray for the one who may face that very door today, may he have walked in the PATH of SALVATION so that he will be with YOU in Paradise. Thank YOU. In the coldest and darkest days of the American Revolution, General George Washington raised his prayers for the survival of his beleaguered Army and of the new Nation. The Lord answered those prayers, upheld his Army through a punishing nadir to everlasting glory and bestowed His manifold benefits upon the new Nation.

In like manner, let our prayers now rise lie a fountain for our Heroes in the American Armed Forces who seek to secure the benefits of Freedom on behalf of a people hungry for them. Father, look on our prayers for them with favor, guide their steps in righteousness and envelop them in the shelter of Your Healing Wings. Bless and uphold them in the performance of their Mission. Through Jesus Christ, Your Son, with the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever, Amen.
